Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. The Lakehouse can now be reached by boat as well, as guest dockage is available at the new gorgeous bayside locale.

    Lake House has been a stand out restaurant in Bay Shore for years. After they moved closer to the Fire Island Ferry dock and built their new location I was afraid that size might negatively impact the overall fantastic experience that has always been Lake House's standard. No chance! It's still one of the top restaurants on Long Island and the service, food and ambiance remains excellent. Consistency in the restaurant business is always the most difficult achievement and Lake House meets that bar with flying colors. Thanks to them for a terrific meal on Saturday night!

    We are always happy with our meals at The Lakehouse but this visit exceeded our expectations. We had a table near the fireplace and although the restaurant was full by the time we left, the noise level was low and the ambiance was perfect. We each had a different dish and all four were delicious. The presentation was beautiful and our waiter Brian was friendly and incredibly attentive. We highly recommend the scallops, salmon, venison and sliced steak. I was disappointed to see guests dressed like they were going to a baseball game. This is an elegant restaurant, dress appropriately.

    We had a marvelous dinner with friends. The chef actually came out and it was lovely to chat. We love the Lakehouse and every time we are in the York we tried to visit.
