Our dining experience at The Ledger was truly exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming and even offered us a thoughtful gift upon learning we were celebrating a special occasion—a charming token packaged beautifully. Our waiter was equally courteous, showing genuine interest in our celebration and guiding us through the menu with helpful recommendations. The dessert, aptly named "Car Bomb," was absolutely delightful—rich, flavorful, and indulgent. While the overall experience was outstanding, we did find the portion sizes to be on the smaller side given the price point. For example, the $60 steak, while perfectly cooked, was smaller than we had anticipated. Despite this, The Ledger left a lasting impression, and we would highly recommend it for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience.

I am NOT looking forward to come back. Let me start with pros. Beautiful decorated place, we were greated and seated promptly. Our waitress was nice, did not know basic about what they serve, but nice. Cons- Then, three ladies showed up, one or more of them were instagram influencer. I recognized it because they received an influencer goody bag. From that moment, our waitress forgot about us and almost exclusively served to their table. My burnt ends hash was everything but burnt . Whole dish was soupy and sweet, but large cubed potatoes were on a raw side. When I left nearly whole plate full, no one cared to ask if I liked it. I understand that social media rules the world now days, but my brunch was ruined by luck of professionalism.

The ambiance is beautiful but they are trying to make brunch way too gourmet. It’s overpriced and the flavors are not what most people are used to. There wasn’t a normal breakfast on the menu. The French toast had hard candied bacon that hurt my teeth and the bottom of the French toast was burnt. My wife’s chicken and waffles was chicken drumstick and leg. That’s the cheapest part of the chicken. It should have been chicken strips or at least half chicken. Very nice staff but I won’t be back for brunch.

Jessie our server and all the bus boys were very attentive and sweet. It isn’t the place’s fault but we got a table near the door so it was cold. The Japanese fish, truffle fries, and the carrot cake were extremely good. The food was good just not unique. They were busy and very efficient. Will give it another try.

I chose The Ledger after seeing a reel from Detroit Halal Eats on Instagram. We went for our anniversary, and they treated us exceptionally well. There was a cute gift bag with a candle inside, and they gave us two complimentary desserts to take home! We had the ribeye, GOAT salad, and truffle fries—all were absolutely delicious. The only thing that could be improved was the music volume. Overall, we loved the experience and highly recommend The Ledger!

Great food! Felt a bit like dining in Disney world and our table was right next to the door/host station. That was a bit awkward. Drinks were undersized and overpriced.

This was my second time dining at this restaurant. The food and service were consistent with the first time. The menu could be considered to be adventurous or limited to some diners but is great for foodies and every dish looked good. They also have an excellent beverage program and great desserts. Our server was a little chatty but was attentive and made sure the quality of the meal met a high standard. In the basement, there is a speakeasy that's a good option for a nightcap.
