At The Library, the familiar aroma of coffee, the promise of a delicious meal, and the anticipation of friendly buzz will offer a reprieve from the daily chaos. It is where the community as a whole comes to refill their cup, both proverbially and, often, quite literally. You will find dining options both inside and outside, as well as at the bar. For walk-up service, our pastry counter offers coffee, tea and pastries throughout the day. We look forward to serving the community, visitors, and hospital staff alike.

    We ate lunch at the Library and had great food, excellent service. The location is walkable from 4th avenue in St. Pete and does resemble a library. Ambiance inside or outside is very nice.

    The service from our server, Jenna was excellent. She appeared at our table at the perfect intervals and at the right times. Her comments about the food we ordered was reassuring. Food was delicious. Went for brunch, but had no room for dessert. Will return.

    We selected The Library based on some reviews, the indoor ambience and the menu. The location was also convenient to our hotel and had adequate parking. We were very disappointed to not get a seat inside on a chilly day. However, our waitress, Aura, was a delight and helped us get warm with one of outdoor torches. Her service continued to be outstanding and upbeat. The ambiance outside is just not what we came for. It’s like sitting on a side walk next to a hospital. The menu does not disappoint. Great variety. Deviled eggs were tasty. All sandwiches across the menu were well done. Breakfast potatoes were delicious. Would highly recommend them getting some Tabasco or real hot sauce. In addition, cozier seating outdoors would be a plus. Inside looked fun. Music was upbeat and had a vibe.

    The first thing that greeted me was the hostess. There were two- one with the blonde hair in a tight bun was not welcoming or friendly. She didn’t say welcome, she didn’t appear happy or eager in her tone that a customer walked in. This is confusing since she was in that role for the restaurant. I’ve had better interactions at a Chilis. Does she not want to be employed there? I honestly felt like she was looking down at me. This is the second time I’ve been here and don’t think I’ll be back. The food was average for the price, drinks were good, and ambience was nice.

    The food was hit and miss. My octopus was a bit overcooked and the oriecchette was nice but underwhelming. The problem was service. The first and second courses came out almost simultaneously; had to ask for drinks from random passing servers because there was no follow-up from ours (in fact, it was unclear who our assigned server was), and never got a dessert menu. The place is very nice, and perhaps it was just an off night or we were unlucky.

    Had reservations for outside seating but no working propane heaters. Hostess seemed put off when we requested change to indoor even though we were fine with community table. Our server was very good. Food was fine. Wine list is limited.
