Love the two for one deal on a Tuesday. Friendly staff and such tasty food are awesome too

We had a terrible experience here. I would not recommend anyone to go here to watch sport. I had booked a table for 4 people for the Swans game, was guaranteed a screen in view to watch the game and confirmed the reservation the day before. When we arrived on time for our reservation they gave us a table without any screens in view and also that was not even reserved for us in the end! When we asked for a different table and pointed out that our name wasn't written on the table then the woman who was helping us told us that their booking system had 'shat itself' and had overbooked for the match so we did not get a table. We were then told to go upstairs to find somewhere to stand to watch - the only thing was there was an event on at 6pm so we would have to leave at 6pm. We were fine with this as the match would be over by then and having only 20 minutes until the match we did not have much other choice since we were not going to get in anywhere else that close to match time. Watching the match was fine however when it came to 15 minutes left (ending at 5:05pm) of the match, the bouncer informed everyone on the 3rd level that we had to leave in 10 minutes (at 5pm). Since there were only 5 minutes left of the match obviously people complained especially since we had been there spending money all day. We thought surely they will let us stay for 5 more minutes to finish the match but at 5pm they turned off the tvs on the 3rd level which was shocking behaviours. I have never experienced this in a restaurant or bar. Thank goodness it wasn't a close match however I will never forget this and would never rely on a booking at the Light Brigade - definitely not for a match!! So I will not be back. Very disappointed since so many people had recommended it so highly.

Had a shocking experience with my booking here. I booked for 9 of us for my birthday. Their booking system was ‘down’, and offered no solution. I asked if I should just grab any table - he said sure. I found a table with the previous guests food and drinks uncleared. Myself and my friends cleared the food, and I then had to go to the bar to ask them to wipe down the table - to a begrudging yes. The food made all of us unwell despite tasting fine. There was not a single toilet upstairs with toilet paper, and no soap in any dispensers. I lined up at the bar to advise them of this, to another ‘oh okay’. Seriously disappointed with service and will not be back. Made my birthday very stressful and disappointing.

The quality of our food was of a high standard, but the staff confused the order. The lights in the upstairs ladies toilets and the pizza oven also weren’t working. The place felt a little disorganised and maybe that is just a problem due to the recent change of ownership? We’ll be back again soon and hopefully things return to something approaching the positive experiences of the past.

The food was really terrible, badly cooked, no care. Waited for drinks service every time as bartender was only person clearing tables etc

My experience here was disappointing. While the food was delicious, the attitude of the staff was a severe let down. Our table felt like an inconvenience during our time here, from our meals being forgotten about in the kitchen, to being told by staff that “this is a pub” when the football in the bistro area was being turned up to an obnoxious volume. I think the staff need some training in customer service & how to be generally polite.

I booked the table through the app, but when we got there several tables had been reserved but my table had not. I spoke to the staff who said the app wasn’t working. I said that the app was clearly working for some bookings but not for all. I asked the staff if they could provide a table and they said no. My friend went to the bar and ordered food and drinks and had to wait 10 minutes for glasses to arrive so we could drink the wine that was purchased. The food was excellent, but the booking and drink ordering were very disappointing.

Overall the food quality and quantity was excellent. Unfortunately the order for several of our guests was captured incorrectly in your system. Instead of receiving a steak sandwich they received grilled steaks. Not a major issue but some training for the staff taking the food orders may avoid a similar issue for other customers.
