Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

    The setting, food and service were wonderful as ever. However the table we were sat at was not clean, it was a metal table and the polish or product used to attempt to clean it had not been polished off so upon getting home I found my elbows of my dress were marked from where I had leaved on the table. I am washing the dress now and hoping that this will come out. Additionally in the bar I was given a dirty teacup and the milk jug was also dirty. This I found disappointing. I had brought my parents for a Xmas meal and my dad’s jacket also had marked elbows and when he wiped at the table with his napkin a grey material came off on the napkin. My Dad felt that the table was not clean and I agreed. It is a real shame to have these kinds of things to mention however I will say that the meal and service were amazing.

    We had a lovely birthday meal for my wife and the food, service and overall experience was fantastic. We have been a number of times and do always thoroughly enjoy it. The staff are very helpful and can't do enough for you.

    Thus was our 10th time to eat at Salhouse Lodge, totally love the place, I cannot fault it. Going again before Christmas. Will be taking friends who have not been before.

    the afternoon again at the lodge was excellent and would highly recommend it also the food and staff are excellent and staff can't help you enough it's a really enjoyable place to eat and enjoy there was 8 people on our table and we all had starters mains and deserts and not one plate went back with any food left well done lodge team

    We had another amazing meal - I knew we could rely on the venue to be warm and welcoming, the food to be amazing as ever and outstanding service to boot . Everything you want for a Christmas meal with old friends!
