Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
The Lodge offers an upscale dining experience with "beautiful" ambiance and "amazing" service. While the menu features standout dishes like sea bass and crab, some items lack flavor. We ate here about a month ago and it was amazing. Last night was terrible! My dad and I both had the steak, which I had gotten last time and it was absolutely incredible. This time our food came out cold, the steak was very rare and tough, nothing was seasoned and everything was under cooked and our food was COLD. The service took a long time. It was a bad experience all the way around. We had been really excited to find a restaurant in Windsor that we were so happy with, but last night definitely gave us second thoughts. Very disappointing.

The Lodge may be one of the best restaurants in Noco. It opened in August of this year and has an interesting decor of modern lodge. Top notch chef and great cuisine. Flavorful and interesting. Lauren, our server, was spot on with our wonderful drink, entree and dessert recommendations. Love this restaurant and can’t wait to go back to try other dishes.

Had high hopes; the inside of the place is awesome, with beautiful views and good service, but the menu is very disappointing. They need more options. My wife and I ended up splitting the chicken, which was very good because none of the other options on the menu were appealing, except for the steak, which was a little overpriced. If I wanted to pay that much, I would just go to a steakhouse where I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. The chicken was very good, so we were happy with that, but then we heard the table behind us, who tried four of the other options on the menu, say they were all not worth getting and only ate a couple of bites of each plate that cost $30 or more. The general manager came out and made it right for the table by giving them 50% off, which was awesome. Hearing that, my wife and I will definitely give it another try, but we hope they expand their menu and change a few things.

This restaurant is wonderful! If you drink, order the espresso martini! It's incredible. I ordered the octopus, and it was such a large portion, and super delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful space and atmosphere with staff that is eager to serve. The duck was outstanding as was the sea bass. The scallops were good, but seemed a little lacking. No hot tea selections or Pellegrino for those that weren't having an alcoholic beverage.

My husband and I are so excited to have found The Lodge! We celebrated our 29th anniversary there and can’t wait to go back! We had a tallow candle with bread to start and then our main courses, crab for me and scallops for him, were off the charts good. We had an amazing server that was very knowledgeable and attentive. The atmosphere was beautiful. We cant wait for spring so we can set out on the deck and watch the sunsets with an adult beverage. Thank you for the memory and a beautiful evening.

We had very attentive service, and the server arrived at our table almost immediately. The space is generously laid out and nicely appointed with comfortable and handsome chairs of varying styles. The amuse bouche in the form of a delicious orange sake was a nice welcome. Additional drinks took a bit longer to arrive at the table. The specials were explained in detail. The menu is somewhat limited; so go in knowing this. A broader selection of beef dishes would be a good suggestion on top of the wide selection of non-beef options. Short ribs or Waygu seem to be an odd limitation to the beef offerings. (How about a filet or a NY strip?) The tuna tartare with the spectacular house-made wontons was our favorite dish. We told our server if they sold those wontons by the bags we'd get one to go! The complimentary birthday dessert was a nice surprise and delicious treat. The olive oil ice cream was amazing and their pastry chef is obviously very talented. Our server, Ty, was knowledgable and gregarious and made our dinner more delightful. We will certainly go back.

Great food, beautiful restaurant, amazing service. Two recommendations: offer espresso; have some dining chairs that aren’t as deep and offer a higher back.
