Lovely atmosphere and service was great. The food was ok but not exceptional. Pea risotto with salmon was very watery and should have sent back really. Would use again and hope the food is better maybe a one off

We had a fabulous lunch at The Lord Combermere. Excellent food & wonderful staff. My salmon was cooked to perfection & was utterly delicious, pretty much a faultless main course! My dessert was a sticky toffee pudding which was a tiny bit dry & hard in places but flavour-wise was delicious. Only two little negatives from my experience, firstly I felt cold throughout my meal & I ended up asking for our after dinner coffees to be served near the fire. Second minor issue was being charged £10.80 for a large glass of delicious New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc which I thought was pretty steep. Overall I will definitely be returning but wear a warmer outfit & have tea & not wine😉

The food was exceptional and really well priced; veggie roast came in at around £15.00. Wine was a little costly at £9.50 for a large glass of the Malbec. Only real issue was the speed of service. We’d have stayed for a dessert if they’d only come to take our order. We waited about 30 minutes then decided to grab some ice-cream from the Co-Op and head on home. Other than that, I’d recommend. I’d have no hesitation in going back

I was with my 94 yr old aunt and requested a small roast dinner for her. She was served a large dinner and was told they had run out of “kids meals” I asked them to re plate it with less food on it was returned to the table with virtually no difference which was a shame as she has a small appetite and finds a large plate of food over facing. The food on the whole was delicious apart from the sticky toffee pudding which had been microwaved to a mouth melting temperature and was of a slightly rubbery consistency. That said I would eat here again as the food in the main course was excellent.
