The Madison Bar and Grill is filled with an ambiance and class that is usually reserved for Manhattan eateries. The dining room is cleverly decorated in a 1940s style reminiscent of a chic roadside inn. The décor works an evocative, magical mood, with bare wood floors, wainscoted walls, soft lighting and subtle touches from a bygone era.

Patrons can also enjoy The Madison’s eclectic American Cuisine at the bar or outdoors in an al fresco cafe that wraps around the street corner.

We went to watch the ND / PSU game. It was a great Bob, a lot of TVs and the food was good. Great time had by all

The charcuterie platter just had 4 bread pieces, sad presentation! Cheeses were good, fig sauce good too.My friend was disappointed in the gelato- said it just tasted like ice cream, not gelato. But these are minor things and will be back again. Nice to have parking validated. Waitress was very accommodating.

Burgers and cocktails were really tasty. Service was incredibly slow. The spinach and artichoke dip was basically a plate of spinach with some cheese on top. Awful.

The table was comically small, the service was indifferent at best, and the food generally below average. Never a good sign when the entire table fails to finish their food.

It was the first time going to the Madison in a long time, and everything was very good: Food, Service, and Ambiance.

Service was bit slow but good enough. Water glasses were difficult to keep full since it too 10+ mins to flag someone down for refills each time. A carafe was left at the end of the meal. Should have been placed at the beginning of the meal. The short rib tacos and short rib grilled cheese were terrible. The meat tasted old. Like it was made days ago. I will be calling for a refund on those. There was no cheese on it at all and the bread was completely dry, like it was just grilled on a flattop without butter. I was told the break would be prepared like garlic bread- hard to do that without garlic or butter. Disgraceful. It was not slow cooked or not slow cooked properly. Chewy ant tuff. I am happy to come in an offer a tutorial for the kitchen staff on what short rib is and how to cook it. The “short rib” was likely not short rib- it tasted and the texture seemed more like bottom chest or brisket. It was VERY tuff and chewy not to mention DRY. The left over short rib grilled cheese and short rib tacos were thrown away. They were garbage. The gravy served with the “short rib” was a classic pot roast gravy- not suitable for “short rib” but suitable for brisket or a tougher lower cut of meat that needs to be slow cooked for much longer to avoid toughness and chewiness. The aperol spritz’s were without Prosecco. Just aperol and soda water. No good- bar 101 know how to make an aperol spritz. The tuna app was very good though I thing the tuna was frozen. The French onion soup dumplings were very good- best part of the meal but why send me an escargo dish with 6 holes and only make me 5 dumplings? Would the 6th dumpling break the profits bank? I doubt it. Never send a guest something with a missing item. That’s a deal breaker for me. I gave my guest 3 and I ate 2 only to find that I didn’t get 3 as well- that was a bummer. You can call me to discuss a refund on the short rib tacos and grilled cheese.

Cute local place. My Daughter had a delicious burget, My husband wings and fries. Fries were so good may have even been fresh cut. I had the short ribs taco, the meat was delicious but it needed a fresh element fresh tomato or something. I asked for a side of avocado it was just meat and a soft taco eoh dried cilantro. Overall good food.

The food, as always, was very good! The drinks took a bit longer than expected, especially since it wasn't very crowded but that was fine. Our waitress was very friendly and accomodating.

First time going to Madison, went around 3pm it wasn’t too busy. We got seated but took our server a while to get to us, not sure if he had more tables than he could handle. We ordered the sangria which was ok but had better, I ordered the wings and they were so good, my bf ordered a chicken panini but said it was ok as well. Not sure if it was just an off day but would consider trying again maybe earlier in the day.

Can always count on Madison Bar & Grill for a good meal and friendly service. We came here for Mother’s Day brunch and we are so glad we did. Everything was delicious. We had the eggs Benedict, French toast, pasta salad, and pastries. Our toddler had a great time with the strawberries and chocolate fountain. They did a great job making Mother’s Day feel special!
