    The new restaurant is a lovely place, pleasantly roomier than the Great Audley Street branch. For some reason in a new restaurant, the heating was by a noisy industrial fan heater. It warmed up the place, but our table was just above it. We love the Mayfair Chippy's food, and this was almost as good. However, when our plates arrived it looked as though they had been sitting on a hotplate, or similar for a while. It tasted fine, but did make the batter a little greasy. The curry sauce and mushy peas had a skin forming on top. It didn't affect the flavour but was a little disappointing. Pricewise, The Mayfair Chippy has always been on the expensive side. This wasn't helped by our choosing to have the fish in a gluten free batter (as a preference), and was charged over £5 each for the privilege. It's not all moans and groans, we enjoyed the meal, but some niggles let it down.

    Everything was excellent!! Fish and chips were amazing!!!! We both got haddock and it was so hot and crispy….a delicious treat!!! Our server was very friendly too! We would definitely return there.

    I had the Scotched egg which was perfectly made. So I was excited for the fish finger butty which didn’t disappoint. It came looked fantastic and the batter was perfectly made too. Loved my meal and definitely recommend.
