Offrant une vue sur Central Park, le Members Dining Room est un restaurant raffiné réservé exclusivement aux membres du Metropolitan Museum of Art. Installé au 4e étage du musée, le Members Dining Room propose une cuisine américaine contemporaine dans un cadre élégant, mettant l'accent sur les fruits de mer ainsi que les ingrédients locaux de saison. Chaque mois, le chef exécutif Fred Sabo prépare un menu de dégustation de 4 plats mettant en valeur une cuisine nationale ou internationale différente. Outre la grande carte des vins, le Members Dining Room dispose d'une liste de vins de réserve et de dégustation pour accompagner au mieux votre repas. Si vous souhaitez organiser des événements en famille, entre amis ou entre collègues, 4 salles sont mises à votre disposition à la location. Le Members Dining Room est exclusivement réservé aux membres du musée. I invited my dear friend Rodolfo to lunch. We had appetizers. The service was ok, not overly efficient I must say. The bus boy came many times to ask me if I was finished when there was still food on the plate and I hadn't placed fork and knife in the classical position that means "I'm done". They did bring extra bread when asked. The food was delicious and came promptly. Ambiance has always been very pleasant. Then when I had left the museum I realized that the hostess, very friendly and courteous, had told me that we were getting a 10% discount but I didn't see it reflected in my bill and didn't realize it when I was signing the paperwork at payment time. Perhaps she was wrong? Anyway, the experience overall was satisfactory, but I am still curious about that offer and if they could acknowledge it next time I go to have lunch there.

Delicious meal. Thank you. But the dried flowers on the table were a little sad and scratchy looking. Considering your prices even a single fresh carnation would have been nicer and more in keeping with the room.;. But overall we had a very good lunch. Thank you.

Lovely experience after a tour of the Met with friends from Sweden. Food was great and so was service.

Had a very good lunch at the Met Dining Room. Great views of Central Park. This is a full service restaurant and accordingly, prices are higher than at other places to eat in the museum.

Best crab cakes in NY, although the price is breathtaking. Tasty mushroom tart appetizer. Chocolate cake was mostly cherry mousse. Very nice, but disappointing if you were expecting a more traditional approach as my husband was. We thought it was a lovely lunch and will be back soon. Certainly the best place to eat in the area.

I have lunch or dinner here every time I visit NYC. It is such a special place 💕. Views of Central Park are wonderful. I highly recommend The Met Dining Room (4th Floor).

Lovely meal and loved the special menu tied to the exhibit. Nice waitress but the busboys a bit on the rough. Always a nice room to be in and get the park views.

Super busy when we arrived. Seated on time. Starters and a couple of glasses of wine came out promptly. They were fine. Then the Big Wait began. Very little food was leaving the kitchen. I guess we -along with most of the patrons- waited maybe an hour. Our waitress was very nice. Even gave us a complimentary top up. Said the kitchen had “backed up”. Maybe other issues at play. Who knows. Some people were getting up and leaving. Mains eventually arrived. Mine was ok. My wife’s fish was cold. We passed on dessert!
