Offrant une vue sur Central Park, le Members Dining Room est un restaurant raffiné réservé exclusivement aux membres du Metropolitan Museum of Art. Installé au 4e étage du musée, le Members Dining Room propose une cuisine américaine contemporaine dans un cadre élégant, mettant l'accent sur les fruits de mer ainsi que les ingrédients locaux de saison. Chaque mois, le chef exécutif Fred Sabo prépare un menu de dégustation de 4 plats mettant en valeur une cuisine nationale ou internationale différente. Outre la grande carte des vins, le Members Dining Room dispose d'une liste de vins de réserve et de dégustation pour accompagner au mieux votre repas. Super busy when we arrived. Seated on time. Starters and a couple of glasses of wine came out promptly. They were fine. Then the Big Wait began. Very little food was leaving the kitchen. I guess we -along with most of the patrons- waited maybe an hour. Our waitress was very nice. Even gave us a complimentary top up. Said the kitchen had “backed up”. Maybe other issues at play. Who knows. Some people were getting up and leaving. Mains eventually arrived. Mine was ok. My wife’s fish was cold. We passed on dessert!

Had the citrus salad which was really a puddle of tagliatelle with literally 3 tiny leaves of lettuce, about a tablespoon of citrus chunks and one olive cut in half. Also had the Black Sea bass which took an hour and fifteen minutes to come out and was approximately cooked but lukewarm warm and underwhelming in terms of flavor, not what you expect when it is described as bouillabaisse. Not worth the hefty price.

The crab cakes were delicious and meaty. The double pork chop was substantial.

Not enough vegetables on menu…coukd use more salads and sides. Room is very unappealing. Like a corporate cafeteria…and coukd be so much more!

Excellent experience. Lovely dining room, sweeping view of the park and friendly, professional service. Our waiter, Michael, was delightful - just the right combination of attentive and discrete.

Food was excellent! As was the wine. The atmosphere however was bland … lighting was too bright … walls bare … no art …felt a bit institutional. Our waiter was kind of like a jokey guy serving hash at a cheap diner… not worthy of the excellent food. Other staff were good.

My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day. The food was absolutely incredible. Our server Michael was amazing and gave us great recommendations. Absolutely 10/10 of an experience, we will be back again.

great waiters, nice atmosphere saved me from a bad impression of this restaurant. the food is disgusting, all dishes are oversalted and very unpresentable in appearance. it seems that everything was heated up in a microwave oven. sorry, but this restaurant does not justify the money that was paid.

Did not eat there because the table we were given was horrible, almost by itself next to the Matre'd desk. The layout and decoration of the space leave much to be desired. The only decent seats are along the window.
