The butternut squash soup is excellent. So are the short ribs main dish and the hazelnut mousse.

The poke salad with white ponzu is OUTSTANDINGLY DELICIOUS, ight and bright. The pear tart with pear sorbet tasted like spring on a cold day! And, Michael, our phenomenally personable waitperson could not have been more personable. We had a lovely experience in a lovely dining room.

As always, the crab cakes were wonderful and the Parker House rolls the best we've enjoyed for years.

Great view, great service, great food. Pricey but it’s NYC and it’s in the Met. So expected. Wouldn’t do it every time but a nice treat.

My wife and I are Met members but had not gone to the Met Dining Room together (I was there years ago). We were very pleased with the food and service for weekend lunch. It was a wonderful experience and a nice break after seeing some great exhibits at the Met. The food was excellent and the service was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend it!

I invited my dear friend Rodolfo to lunch. We had appetizers. The service was ok, not overly efficient I must say. The bus boy came many times to ask me if I was finished when there was still food on the plate and I hadn't placed fork and knife in the classical position that means "I'm done". They did bring extra bread when asked. The food was delicious and came promptly. Ambiance has always been very pleasant. Then when I had left the museum I realized that the hostess, very friendly and courteous, had told me that we were getting a 10% discount but I didn't see it reflected in my bill and didn't realize it when I was signing the paperwork at payment time. Perhaps she was wrong? Anyway, the experience overall was satisfactory, but I am still curious about that offer and if they could acknowledge it next time I go to have lunch there.

Delicious meal. Thank you. But the dried flowers on the table were a little sad and scratchy looking. Considering your prices even a single fresh carnation would have been nicer and more in keeping with the room.;. But overall we had a very good lunch. Thank you.
