As a friend recently said, the food here is so much better than it needs to be. The service is attentive and lovely.

The food was very good and attractively presented. However, the portions were very small for the prices charged. The dining room has zero ambiance. It feels like eating in a cafeteria with tablecloths. Will not be returning any time soon.

The room is minimal but very nice and quiet. Mushroom tart was very good. The lobster pasta pretty good. Salmon nicely cooked, but very tiny portion, even by late 2024 standards. Pear dessert at $16 was insanely small, barely able to share with one person. Yes one gets a membership discount but even with that, it felt way overpriced in light of the food quality and portion size.

We were given a window table with a great view of Central Park. Our server was pleasant and the staff providing water, rolls, etc were attentive and efficient. We had a long wait for our entrees and the head manager apologized several times. When our food came, one of the dishes was cold which we sent back and which was replaced fairly quickly. Our other dishes were delicious! Very well prepared! To make up for the delay with our food we were given 2 complimentary desserts which was very nice.

The food was very good. I was super disappointed in ambiance. I felt like I was in a cafeteria. Nothing on walls. Lights too bright. Very boring decor for being in the Met

The restaurant has a vast wall of windows offering impressive views of Central Park. This is its big draw. Its pared-down modern decor is more functional than interesting or beautiful. We sat at a table for two near enough to the windows. The food was imaginative -- and good. But no dish stood out as fabulously delicious. Our white-truffle starter course on the specials menu was tasty. My pumpkin risotto was very good (after I added salt and pepper, to my taste). My husband's raw tuna main course did not stand out. The portions are quite small, given the high prices. But that is to be expected. The wine list looked really good, drawn from a number of countries. Our wine-by-the glass was delicious. The wait staff was wonderful -- attentive and friendly.

We last ate here in April 2023, just before new management took over. Service was outstanding, and the food good. Now, the food is outstanding and a match for the perfect service. I had an exquisitely composed salad for a starter, and a perfect lobster risotto from the Holiday menu as a main. My partner had the Cacio e Pepe, prepared with pink peppercorns and salad with chicken for a main . . . both excellent. The menu is a tad pricey, but worth the splurge for the quality. Cudos to the chef and staff! (Note: Met members get a 10% discount.)

Have requested window table three years in a row well in advance and gave yet to be able to sit there. Friends who had NO reservations have been given seats at the window
