Old Town Scottsdale’s heart beats to a Latin drum at The Mission where renowned Chef Matt Carter (Zinc Bistro and Fat Ox) brings a modern twist to Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America.

Sip a signature margarita with unique flavors such as cucumber jalepeno or aguacate (yes, we said avocado) as you watch your Tableside Guacamole made to your taste from more than a dozen fresh ingredients.

Home made tortillas, and salsas are made fresh daily to accompany an assortment of meats and seafood prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor. And save room for dessert including our pumpkin bread pudding or expresso churros.

Our waitress was horrible. She was absent most of the meal and we needed a few drinks which she was very condescending.

Second dining experience at The Mission, Ashley our server was very knowledgeable and gave suggestions for our GF friend. We chose the table guacamole and were extremely happy we did. Make sure to leave room for dessert ~ party of 8 we tried them all ~ Pumpkin Bread Pudding is so worth the drive from Queen Creek ~ we’ll be back😊❗️❗️

The food was horrible, tortillas unnecessarily greasy, pork sweet as dessert. Wouldn’t recommend this place for dinner. Only for drinks and the guacamole. The place inside is extra noisy, it’s more a bar than a restaurant.

Virtually all of the food was delicious. Duck empanadas and salads were fabulous. Fish tacos and the pork shoulder tacos were amazing. The only weak dish was the squash tacos where the squash was undercooked. Ambiance was fun and service was solid. Great meal.

Brought our adult kids and significant others over holidays. Food is delicious. Highly recommend table side guacamole, pork shoulder tacos, street corn. Place has so much southwest character. Thoroughly enjoyed!
