The Mixer restaurant is in the historic 6th district in downtown Hopkinsville KY. Come see the newly renovated building that housed the iconic Young Hardware store from 1898 to 2017.
Get that big city experience in small town Kentucky with an open concept dining room, original brick walls, a beautiful centerpiece bar made from reclaimed wood, and balcony seating that overlooks the space.
We match the ambiance with a menu of handcrafted seasonal dishes, craft cocktails, gourmet coffees and homemade desserts. We also strive to source products from local businesses to showcase what this city has to offer.
Our food is best described as new American with Southern flare and international inspirations.
Some of our most popular dishes include: Shrimp and Grits, Double Cut Pork Chop, and Cold Smoked Crispy Skinned Salmon.

    Join us for the next event in our "Taste of" series with a Taste of the South! What to expect: A 5 course meal with our take on dishes ranging from New Orleans to the Southwest and Mexico, back to Grandma's country kitchen in the heart of southern USA. Each dish will be paired with a cocktail themed to each region, including crafted components and local products. When: Tuesday December 3rd, doors open at 5:00p.m., dinner starts at 6:00p.m. *please inquire about dietary restrictions or allergies prior to booking as our ability to accomodate for this event may be limited

    The Mixer offers Southern cuisine with an elevated, sophisticated twist, and it does not disappoint. As a native of Hopkinsville, KY, their bourbon cocktail was a nostalgic delight—it truly felt like a taste of home. The star of the evening, however, was the trout dish. Cooked to perfection, it was topped with a white wine sauce that was simply chef’s kiss. The balance of flavors showcased both creativity and respect for Southern traditions. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort food with a touch of elegance, The Mixer is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

    Their weekly specials are always delicious & amazingly creative! Staff are very attentive & a delight to deal with.

    Always an eclectic menu, prepared with care and served by folks that truly appreciate their customers. Don’t be surprised if the owners drop by to check on you.

    We had a reservation for 8 o'clock. We were promptly seated. Waiter immediately came over took our drink orders. Our cocktails and food were all wonderful!

    We made a reservation and we were promptly seated. Water was served and the menus were given to us and were told of the specials. Both Heather and Graham check on us often and visited with us, talking about our families and friends. They are both so gracious, kind, helpful and show that they really do care about their patrons. Graham make such tasty drinks and their chef prepared our Salmon and Filet meals to perfection. My sides of brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries were delicious as were my husbands salad and mashed potatoes. We had absolutely no room for any dessert. I can't wait to go back again for great food, friendly staff and owners and see so many frequent patrons.

    Enjoyed eating here as always. This time I tried out the pork belly sandwich, and it was phenomenal-so much flavor! Definitely a new favorite!

    First time trying The Mixer and we will definitely be back! The food was phenomenal. The service was great. Bartender even made a special drink for me when I told him what I typically drink and it was delicious! The prices were just a *touch* high, but not enough to keep us away :) the ONLY negative thing I'll say is there was a $3 credit card processing fee, which I find strange in a restaurant. Thank you for a lovely date night. Be back soon!
