The Moon is your local wine bar focusing on minimal intervention wines that are, of course, delicious and speak of the place they were made. We offer a menu of simple, thoughtful plates of food designed to complement the wine selection and allow you to drop in for some snacks or a full dinner.

If you want to bring your dog along, you absolutely can! Dogs may join you in the patio and outdoor area.

We take a small amount of bookings for guests intending to dine, most of the bar is kept free for walk-ins. If you plan to just come for drinks, please come by as a walk-in.

Caper's in Thornbury will be landing on The Moon for one day only bringing with them their incredible music program and a bunch of their favourite cocktails. Michael Clancey, The Moon's Head Chef, will be serving up a Mediterranean mezze style menu to match. Join us for a day of laughter and music some great bottles. The ticket will include a welcome drink and the mezze menu. Dietaries can be catered to with notice. Please make a note in your booking.

Overall, I enjoyed my night out with my partner we ordered the heirloom tomatoes on lavash absolutely standout delicious the pasta. My partner found disappointing and lacked any real flavour. Maybe some Parmesan would've helped. I had a half chicken which was cooked. Beautifully loved it the sauce perhaps just a whisker salty, I didn't realise that it didn't come with anything. Maybe the offer of some chips or green salad which was no out there. I just didn't twig that the chicken came with just itself once were good. Service was good with some great advice on the wines and the opportunity to taste before I chose all all and enjoyable night some hits and misses with the food the desert the coconut semi Fredo with the cherries and chocolate was delicious delicious absolutely.

We had the best time!! Food was amazing and our waiter (tall with long blonde hair) was incredible, above and beyond, generous with the martini olives, gorgeous, incredible, etc etc etc. Thankyou!!!!

Been here 3 times now, the service is great and friendly, ambience is terrific, good wine selection. Food sadly is mixed, each time there are too many white purées and sauces, tonight an odd green topping on raw kingfish, it tasted dusty. Yet another puree on Pommes Anna, masking its flavour - enough of the puree splodges please. Want to come back as it’s my local, but so many other yummy food places nearby

The moon has a great aesthetic, lovely wine selection and their service team was fantastic. The charcuterie board was good value for money. The sticky date pudding was delicious. A beautiful little venue.

The waiting stuff was arrogant and unhelpful, borderline rude. Aperol spritz was overfilled with soda

Such a gorgeous evening, what a place the Moon truly is. Utterly astonished and left in awe within the sheer beauty of the venue.
