WELCOME TO THE MULE.
We’re not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila and bourbon come to party.
Located in one of Hamilton’s most beautiful spaces, we think we’ll be your new favourite lunch spot, your regular late-night haunt and your go-to destination for a good drink. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon- and tequila-focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.
And don’t forget the food. From baja wings to brisket tacos, our menu offers an approachable and fresh twist on your favourite flavours from way down south. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you’ve-gotta-try-this. All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to delight your vegetarian and vegan side.

Please note that your table may overlap with our Bingo this evening, starting at 8pm. Participation is not required, but please anticipate a lively environment due to the other patrons. I went with a group of colleagues while in Hamilton for a conference. Service was quick and efficient. Tacos were delicious (sweet potato halloumi and cali chicken), just a little pricey. The chips, queso, and salsa were all above average as well. WAP margarita was fantastic too. Highly recommend!

We had the brisket nachos, calamari and a variety of tacos. My favourite was the achiote chicken. Everything was fresh and garnished beautifully. The cocktails were great. Service was perfect. Love the Mule!!

Always delicious! The Potatoes Bravas, Bang Bang MFC, Hagerstown Brisket taco, Cali chicken taco, and WAP margarita were all amazing!

Fantastic service and casual punk-vibe atmosphere. Best margaritas ever! Six of us dined and we all enjoyed our various taco selections. Highly recommend The Mule. We will definite back.

Nice, slow approach to dining with good vibes. Fresh, really intriguing taco selection. Ceviche unusual...watery. Huge tequila selection. The hot sauces (ask for them) were very good...hot with flavor.

I brought my grandma here for the first time after visiting the RBG. It was her first time having Mexican as well as her first time having a margarita. When our server found out, it was my grandma‘s first time having a margarita she came back with a candle in the margarita, which was so cute! My grandma had the best time and enjoyed herself thoroughly. The food and drinks were delicious. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity during this visit 🥰

Excellent food and drinks- very unique in the city, wonderful flavours, super tasty dishes. I’m celiac and there weee no issues. I also can’t tolerate diary and there was no problem selecting a wide variety of dishes. Will definitely return!
