   Slow to take order, drinks only arrived with the starter. Starter of scallops and black pudding was amazing, pizza tasteless and mostly bare, topping only in middle with lots of dough around the outside. Lamb shank needed a ton of seasoning. Didn’t bother to order dessert. Could have been so much better.

   Amazing food. Great company. Incredible service … staff could not have been nicer. Lovely atmosphere and such a good place to catch up with friends for food and drinks. Could not fault it one bit.

   We visited for the first time after being gifted a voucher. Upon arrival it was warm, welcoming and staff were quick to seat us. The first part of the restaurant looked lovely and had nice ambience., however we were seated through the back where it was extremely bright and squeezed into a corner table for 2. The side benches were higher than the table which was rather uncomfortable and not very relaxing. It was busy so took 15 minutes to get our drinks order taken. The food was quick enough and nicely presented with average taste. There were no condiments on the table or offered, so we had to request salt n pepper as did every other table round us. The salt came out in a little dish to pinch by hand. I thought that was odd. Our bottle of wine was served in water and ice but the wine wasn't chilled, so not ideal. Our main was Rib-eye Steak, cooked very nicely but could have been better seasoned. The side salad was delicious and overall we were pleased with the food. Staff were lovely & polite.

   Arrived at 5.40 table of 4 was seated through the back seemed to be a lot of dinners squeezed in waited 20 mins on drink order taken the waited an another hour on food food arrived at 7.10pm had to be at an event at 7.30 ordered fish which should have come with chunky chips with skin on but served with normal chips had to ask for salt and vinegar but it never arrived had to borrow salt from next table and do without vinegar not a great experience and have no intention of going back

   My wife and I were extremely surprised to find such a welcoming and high standard restaurant as a last minute booking, The Filet Mignon was exquisite and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful on a busy evening. Very grateful to find such a gem and will definitely be booking again, soon

   The Nest served us delicious food at a very affordable price. Service was great. We could take the whole family - the baby in pram and a dog. We will be back.
