   My husband and I had a wonderful brunch. It was the first time eating at this restaurant. We stopped by before going to the ballet at DCPA. The food is great. The staff is super nice and professional; our waitress was a doll and very attentive. The Nickel has a lovely appealing atmosphere with its beautiful tall ceilings and fabulous windows. Highly recommend this place as a go-to restaurant before the theater. (We live near Parker, CO, so it is a bit of a destination for us to go on a regular basis). Sincerely

   I’ve come to The Nickel multiple times over the past 5 years, often before shows at the DCPA. I realize we’re living in a different restaurant scene post COVID, especially when it comes to staffing, but the Nickel has clearly lost its luster. Our food came out stone cold like it had been sitting for 10 minutes and in general the waitstaff were not commensurate with a high level restaurant. It honestly felt more like a Denny’s. Probably will not be coming back.

   Ordered a rare hamburger and receiedwell done!,They did take the price off, but when the waitress asked how did I want it cooked, I expected rare!

   Felt comfortable as a woman dining alone at the bar. Usually hotel restaurants are meh—-food and drink at the Nickel were excellent! Watched the bartender hustle with amazing efficiency and flair! serving the bar area food/drinks and drinks to all tables. Nod to the same bartender who honored my request to watch NCAA women’s final 4 games on the bar TV because Everyone Watches Women’s Sports! :)

   A bit surprising given the cost. The service was not overly attentive or professional. The charcuterie board was really good. The $28 burger was disappointing- somewhat bland. Overall for the pricing I expected much more in terms of atmosphere and food quality.

    Delightful dinner.Having been here several times , I have always nice service,good food in between fine dinning and casual. I recomend and I will be back!
