We had a lovely evening at the Nomad. A last minute booking meant a slightly later table But service, food and atmosphere was great! The grilled oysters were amazing. Highly recommend a visit!

We chose to eat at NoMad prior to taking in a show in the west end. The meal was fantastic, staff attentive and if we had to criticise, we would say the alcohol was slightly overpriced. Would we return, absolutely

We had pre drinks at both bars and the service and quality was excellent especially in the Mexican bar ! However the experience completely changed when we went down to dine and from then on was absolutely appalling and very disappointing especially as we booked through open table ! I paid a total of just under £300 for a Valentines dinner including drinks for the evening and this is not acceptable due to the following: Sequence of events: We were handed the menu and there was such a limited choice especially only one dessert option to share a baked Alaska and I really don't like baked Alaska ! The dessert was to share ! They should of been a minimum of two dessert options ! I decided to order the Terrine and requested some bread and before the starter and within two minutes our starters were flippantly put on the table with no finesse I was wandering where is the bread ! The bread arrived 15mins later and was just two bits of sourdough ! My starter the Terrine was not good and tasted like rubber at which point my wife could see that i wanted to express my disappointment I mentioned this to the head waitress and she kindly changed the started but the romance of the evening was diminishing ! The mains although of good quality were tiny small portions. I think that some one from open table should try the short rib dish and see for themselves the small portion of sides and there was only one short rib about five centimetres which is ok for a starter but not a main My wife the following day also also said that the main portions were far too small and that this venue was definitely style over substance which is a shame as the product which is the dinner should of matched.

Starter and main excellent. Dessert bad with odd flambé on Bomb Alaska that tasted bad. Also, clumsy presentation and lighting of flambé. Bill left a further bad taste in the mouth. Prix fix menu of £90pp was charged at £95pp added 15% service added VAT, so actually £135pp. Plus drinks. Charge what you like but do not mislead.

What a beautiful setting to enjoy a meal! It honestly doesn’t get better. The menu has many delicious options on offer but the layout isn’t exactly intuitive which was a bit confusing. Service was gracious and welcoming but a bit on the slow side. We all had a great time and would recommend the experience to others but be prepared for a very relaxed time at the table between courses.
