Join us for the very best of modern British dining looking out over Cheltenham's newest, iconic and timeless vista.

The Nook On Five uses produce from the best butchers, fishmongers, grocers, creameries, distilleries and vineyards to create dishes and experiences both fun and fine.

Serving Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner, take in mouth-watering bites overlooking the Cotswolds and the rooftops of Montpellier.

Headed up by Alisha Phillpotts, the kitchen carefully selects the finest produce to cook up a refined evening à la carte menu, alongside a fab lunch and all day menu of modern British classics and twists.

The bar and cellar offers an extensive English section to our wine list and serve up some fantastic cocktails which you can take out to our rooftop terrace.

Enjoy afternoon tea with us at the Nook. We freshly prepare our cakes, scones and sandwiches every day. We tend to always have a Macaron, a chocolate and a sponge. Allergies & Dietaries- Please let us know of any dietary or allergy requirements in advance of your booking. Because we make everything fresh we need to make tailored products in advance. If we do not get this in advance, accommodating your requirements could take up to 1 hour from the time you arrive as we will be baking those cakes fresh for you on the day.
Private Dining Room - Chef's Table Experience

Enjoy the ultimate Chef's Table experience with a 7 course Tasting Menu including wine pairing and interactions with our chefs about each course. Your group will be completely private from the restaurant so you can enjoy exclusive dining in our Private Dining Room with a recommended maximum of 10 guests. £1000 minimum spend required at the point of booking. We require at least 1 week's notice period. OpenTable does not enable us to monitor this. Therefore, if you are booking within this timeframe your booking may be cancelled and your £1000 deposit will be returned to you. Food and views in the restaurant were really very good. The service, however, very intermittent from the waiting staff. Others diners were given menus on arrival, we had to ask for menus. Other diners on arrival were greeted and coats taken to a cloak room, nobody asked to take our coats on arrival or throughout the meal so we had to tuck them behind us. Every customer should be treated the same considering you are paying a service charge.

The menus for the Nook on 5 have been recently changed and improved, Chef, John Burton-Race will be a fantastic addition to the team and overall dining experience. JB-R is pure class in the culinary world and has also been joined by Bruno as front-of-house manager, both are very highly respected in the hospitality industry. I cannot rate the Nook on 5 highly enough and certainly a top 5 restaurant in Cheltenham. A must visit dining experience, a place you can arrive at lunchtime, stay and enjoy all afternoon excellent food, very professional service, the views, and leave having had a very memorable meal. It’s a 10/10 from me!

Lovely ambience with the piano player in the background. Slightly disappointed that 3 of the dishes were unavailable. Two from the starter menu and one from the dessert menu. Food was very good except for the crème brûlée - just a bit too runny for our liking. Wine was good value and cocktails excellent.

Always love our visits to The Nook, Cheltenham I love to dress up the table, and it’s never an issue here

Fabulous evening at the outstanding Nook on 5 Having heard all about the restaurant we were looking forward to experiencing it ourselves. We were blown away by both the food and service. The restaurant itself has been beautifully decorated with a fantastic view of the prettiest part of town. We will definitely return

The food is good, but in my view overpriced. Two of us had three courses, a single drink each and some sparkling water and it was £200. My husband had duck and I had steak - nothing out of the ordinary but over £30 for the steak. The service is too efficient. Whisking our plates away, the starter coming on top of the amuse bouche - we were in and out of there in an hour and it all felt a bit rushed and impersonal. Not sure I’d go again.

Trendy but comfortable decor and fabulous views. Great to have seating options. Food was fantastic, service efficient and friendly. Best option was an impressive, interesting selection of wines by the glass. Not your bog standard offerings which meant we tried a different wine with each course…such a treat.

I thought the menu was limited as there was no Venison left and we were the first in the restaurant that evening I was disappointed There was only serlion steak or chicken as a meat alternative I opted for the fish but I wasn’t over impressed unfortunately I ordered the chips with parmigiana but they were just chips with a blob of mayonnaise and grated parmigiana so they chips were not coated as I would have expected The starter was lovely for both of us but I think there should be more choice of meats I was hoping that duck was on the menu but sadly not The evening itself was excellent attention to detail was brilliant I would recommend to friends but I think the menu needs improvement
