Amazingly this was my first visit to The Oakfield having been a member of the Zoo for so long. The fish and chips etc and the steak pie meal was very tasty with appropriate portions sizes. Drinks and coffee to finish. Service from Emily was great, very cheerful and efficient.

Compliments to the chef - best dessert I've ever had - lemon tart with fennel pollen ice cream and cinder toffee crunch. Always a lovely place to have a well earned pit stop at the zoo. Food first class and the staff are extremely hard working and helpful. Thank you Oakfield, see you again soon.

We had a lovely meal for our grandson's birthday. 3 of the party ordered the Fish and hips and the batter was overdone but was still very good. The server did notice and offered to change it. But we declined as it was still very nice. But was happy that they offered and noticed. I took a birthday cake with us my my grandson and they kindly brought it to him and offered plates and folks.

Lady that meeted and greeted me was superb.. First Class in her manner and assistance. As a hotelier myself I thought she was outstanding. Didn't catch her name unfortunately. Oakfield is always a special occasion for myself for personal reasons.

Great place but service very slow, needs to be quicker to get maximum enjoyment out of the time in the zoo. Food was nice but could've been warmer. Service was slow, noone checked if we wanted more drinks or if the food was ok. It's our second time eating here, and it was the same last time.

Food very tasty and service was very friendly - albeit a little slow today! Have visited The Oakfield many times and can still highly recommend it for a family meal/drinks during a day at the Zoo!

Great speedy service! Best Sunday lunch we’ve had out in ages. Really good value for money. We visit every time we visit the zoo, and is consistently good. The decor is top notch too

We both ordered the steak pie. We’ve had it before and it’s perfect! It comes with rich potato dauphinois, braised red cabbage and carrot with a delicious gravy. Great on a cold day.
