   We had Sunday lunch at the Old Deanery and I cannot fault it. The room we were seated in was full yet I was impressed that it wasn’t overly noisy - I could hold a conversation yet wasn’t bothered by the conversations of others. From the off, the staff were attentive, warm and friendly. I had my baby with me… I was a little reserved about bringing him out for lunch but they made me feel at ease and welcomed him, too. The food was excellent. I think £40 for a set menu of the quality we experienced is exceedingly good value and we’ll be coming back. I also appreciated that this isn’t a “pile it high” style of roast dinner experience. The portions were very generous so you won’t leave hungry, but they were refined… I think this is what sets it apart from other venues. We will definitely be visiting again; and I particularly want to come for breakfast, too!

   Had sunday lunch. 4 people all really enjoyed it. Restaurant was quiet and warm (only 2 degrees outside ) esp given it was a very okd building. Staff lovely and attentive. My main could have been hotter if I am honest.

   Had Sunday lunch 3 courses menu with parents. Friendly staff, fabulous food and lovely atmosphere, quiet enough to have a conversation but not so quiet it was awkward! They accommodated my mum's dietary requirements even offering smaller portions of each course for her. Will definitely go again!

   Exceptional!! In every sense this place is remarkable. The food is fantastic, the staff are fantastic and it’s in Ripon - it doesn’t get better!

   The food is simply outstanding and fantastic value for money.Sunday lunch at £40 for 3 coarses is excellent value and probably one of the best Sunday roast I have had. Unfortunately when you arrive it felt very disorganised and very congested with to many chairs and sofas in the lobby.Also tables were been moved while we were eating to create space which is understandable but should have been arranged before paying customers arrived or were eating.Staff need to be dressed in the same clothing attire rather than all wearing different outfits including a scuffy jumper!All in all the food is of the highest quality and would certainly go back....just need to tidy up on the other aspects of a to become a top all-rounded restaurant.

    Lovely charming and quirky old building, Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff and the food that came out of Adam Jackson’s kitchen was amazing, from the very well thought out and incredibly executed 9 course tasting menu to the beautiful breakfast. I couldn’t fault anything. Also the chef’s counter where Adam and his chef’s plate up dishes and chat to you is a lovely personable idea
