Do not be deceived by the Entrance to the Hotel. The Food and the service was exscellent.

A lovely hotel restaurant with modern decor, but when we went (6pm on a Friday evening) it was empty. My son and I were the only diners in the place, which was a bit disconcerting, and even by 7:40pm when we were leaving there were no other diners. Staff were friendly and helpful though. Food was okay -I had the haddock and chips - the fish was a bit dry, but the chicken terrine starter was lovely and the prawn bruschetta was good too. Onion rings were undercooked. So overall a bit hit and miss.

We had an absolutely fabulous evening dining in the restaurant, yes it was quiet but that was our preference especially as it was my wife's birthday. The food was exceptional as was the service and attention, the complimentary glass of Prosecco was also a very nice gesture. My wife had the pork tenderloin with a vegetable side order and I had a lovely and generous dish of haddock, chips and peas. Drinks wise we added a pineapple cooler with ginger and lime which was delicious. All in all we both retired extremely well fed and feeling treated like really valued guests.

Great food, great service not too busy either. Myself and my partner came for a last minute greataway, we booked a 3 course for £27 each with a complimentary drinks x2 with our stay. Really impressed with the value, including the room. We could not of got this anywhere else in Bath. Very happy and will hope to return in the future!

Very nice food, kind and helpful staff and the swimming pool, and spa were amazing. Highly recommend for the price.

We were not overly impressed by the afternoon tea, it all tasted as though it had been made far in advance and put in a very cold fridge. The sandwiches were very un appealing to look at, it’s a shame. I think we only ate a few cakes and had one cup of tea& coffee. We only saw the waitress twice also and ended up getting up and leaving without seeing anyone to let them know how we felt. The spa however is a lovely add on for £5 we thoroughly enjoyed that.
