The Overcliff Pub has been designed to offer locals and visitors to Bournemouth a traditional English pub with stunning sea views, proper British pub food and cool beverages in a laid-back, friendly environment. The large dining room conservatory enjoys panoramic views from Hengistbury Head, across the bay to Old Harry Rocks, the perfect backdrop for sipping on a pint of real ale whilst tucking into a delicious pie. Well first time to experience to have a dinner in this place but im not very happy very unorganized

Love coming every Sunday for karaoke, great At puddings served and the bar staff are all lovely ..always reccommend to friends and family

We did not need a reservation, you order your food at the bar and they bring it to you. The air conditioning was dripping water all over the floor where you walk to the tables. The hotel overall is in great need of a refurbishment.

I've lived in Bournemouth all my life and know most of the seafront restaurants in the area but don't usually frequent the HOTEL restaurants. Having Googled 'restaurants with sea views' the Suncliff caught my eye with the 'pub' area, having a sea view. At 12.30 pm there was no-one around and we needed to look for a person to help us. We found a lady in the hotel lounge/bar who was having to serve hotel guests as well as the likes of us who had booked a table in the pub. She was very helpful, took our order and continued to be attentive in spite of the pressure she was under. The food was very acceptable as 'pub food'. Three of us had a delicious caesar salad, packed with bacon, anchovies, parmesan cheese, etc. (Certainly not the bland dish often passed off as a caesar salad in other establishments). The chicken stack was delicious with an ample portion of chicken fillet. The venue was clean and airy with large ceilings fans to keep us cool on that scorching day, plus we enjoyed our panoramic sea view. I'm sure we'll be back.

Was under the impression that the dining room was a really nice place to be with sea views, the sea views were ok but the dining room itself was like some cafe/sports bar with football being shown and nobody watching it. We were greeted by a group of drunks sitting on the terrace where the entrance is located, they were shouting all sorts of choice words at each other and passers by. There was someone in the restaurant so drunk he was asleep at the table. I have been to hundreds of restaurants over the years and this is one of the worst that I have had the misfortune to visit.
