Perched on the hillside offering panoramic views of The Cobb and Jurassic Coast, The Oyster & Fish House is arguably the most picturesque spot in Dorset to enjoy locally sourced fish and seafood. A large terrace wraps around the informal, light and airy dining room offering the perfect al fresco experience with unrivalled views of the coastline.

We support our local fishermen, so you may often see them bringing their catch up to the restaurant. In addition to a selection of snacks and starters, you can expect simply grilled fish on the bone, and of course, the delicious Dorset oysters and shellfish we have on our doorstep. The menu can change twice a day depending on what the fishermen bring to us. Please note we do not serve meat dishes, but we do have vegetarian, vegan and kids dishes available.

Large tables are welcomed, and for bookings of 8 or more we do ask you to pre-order your meal.

For large parties or exclusive hire we offer feast menus which are designed to share. Choose our menus online or we can bespoke one just for you based on what is in season. We offer 3 sharing starters which are placed along the middle of the table, a sharing style main such mixed fish and seafood or surf and turf, and a large sharing-style pudding.
Installations pour groupes privés
We welcome large parties in the restaurant - the largest table we can offer is a table of 20 guests. We also offer exclusive hire of the restaurant for parties and weddings, as well as being licensed for the wedding ceremony to take place in the restaurant or on the deck with the magnificent views of the Jurassic Coast and Cobb Harbour.

Great atmosphere for a relaxed boozy lunch. Lovely food, fizz and red wine. Beautiful views over the bay. A special day for us both.

Food lovely, have been coming here for years with my wife and children, the service was far from good,tbh asking a very young person what wine they recommend obviously never having drunk wine themselves was a silly mistake to make, I know the restaurant is shutting down next week but I would have thought there were standards that should have been met that obviously were not

We wanted to enjoy a dinner before the restaurant closes next weekend. We have been here so many times before and will miss the food, the drink and the fabulous food. Thank you.

The place is cold, 3 dogs in the place , one barking, food lukewarm, charged £18 for a cheeseboard, two types of cheese a sliver of butter. Will not be going again.

Fantastic seafood. We had the fish platter for two. The fish was delicious, so clean tasting. The popcorn cockles are fantastic. Thank you for the gorgeous chocolates at the end to celebrate anniversary. Service was great too. Fab place

A great table by the window. Lovely staff who were very helpful and professional. Food also wonderful and the Portuguese wine. Great location and view.
