To keep you on your toes our head chef changes our evening menu regularly depending on what comes in fresh that day. Everything we offer is homemade and we source as much of the produce as we can as locally as possible. We always make sure there is a choice on the menu for Vegetarians, and we ask that when booking you let us know of any dietary requirements so we can tailor that evening’s menu appropriately.

Family get together on a stormy wet day. Cosy pub which welcomed dogs and wet people alike. Very hospitable. Menu not extensive but enough, with some lovely dishes such as oven baked Camembert with sourdough. Good drink selection as well. Warm with open fires and logburner was very welcome. We’ll be back.

This is a traditional pub serving the community but also giving visitors a warm welcome. We’ve eaten here a number of times over the years when visiting the are but this was our first visit under the new ownership. Happily the standards have remained high and we had a delicious meal in a relaxed cosy setting and were well looked after by the staff. Our dog was really welcomed with dog treats and a bowl of water.

Why this pub is not packed with diners is a mystery - because it serves outstanding food - staff were welcoming & friendly & the food we had the Sunday Menu was delicious could not fault it - we will definitely return - beautiful setting too.
