Our initial greeting from the host was most unpleasant. He was not welcoming at all!

The Palm, since 1972, is a DC institution with a long term staff, convenient location and good food. What brings us back is John and Claudia in the dining room - the best.

I’m not sure what was going on last night at The Palm but it was just BAD. The food was warm, steak warm, creamed spinach stiff, lobster ravioli warm. Now two weeks ago I was at The Palm Tyson’s and it was absolutely delicious so I’m not sure why the DC restaurant was so awful. It was restaurant week and I’m pretty sure the food including the $78 dollar ribeye was sitting in the back for a while under a light. We did talk to the waiter and he was nice about and offered to change the food out for something else and tried to warm the ribeye but nothing worked. In the end he took $55 off, that was the cost of the restaurant week meal now I know in order to take food off you have to talk to the manager, the manager never came to our table to offer any assistance and he was just at the table beside ours talking to a couple for 10 minutes. I’ve been to The Palm several times Tyson’s and DC so I’m not new to the restaurant. Will I return to the DC restaurant - NO Remind you, we were the only black people there. Unfortunate and sad.

OMG…the service and staff were phenomenal. And the food…incredible. Even my picky eater husband has been bragging about how great our experience was. Chef’s kiss !!!!

The Palm is a FAVORITE of my family. Everyone is always so pleasant. Reggie is an outstanding waiter who always has a smile on his face.

Our waiter Jimmy was absolutely wonderful. We had him running around like a crazy man and he took such amazingly great care of us. Between him and his helper I give the service a “10”. And the food as well.

The Palm is a favorite, and is always wonderful. This visit was no different. The food was delicious, service was impeccable, and the evening was perfect.
