Our lovely open-plan restaurant has traditional oak-beams and contemporary furnishings with a harmonious and relaxing ambience. The perfect setting for you to enjoy a romantic dinner, family celebration or night out with friends.
Our Head Chef and his brigade are passionate about food. Every dish on the frequently changing menu is freshly prepared from the finest ingredients – locally sourced wherever possible.
Norfolk is rich in great produce and our kitchen’s philosophy is based on seasonality, provenance and flavour. Game, fish, meat and vegetables are chosen with care daily. We have a close relationship with the finest suppliers in the county and they know that we insist on buying the best. We don’t do run-of-the-mill at The Parson but we do believe in offering great food cooked with passion and flair.

We haven’t been for quite some time, but it was a special 80th birthday in our family, The Parson Woodforde was recommended to us and we weren’t disappointed!! Food was delicious & service was great, very friendly & welcoming with nothing too much trouble, we will be back

Perfect once again. Wide menu choice and cooked to perfection. Still our number 1 place to eat out 👍

A very good and varied choice of menu. My friend and I had the fish pie and it was excellent. Very good fresh vegetables with it. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.

This was the second time we've eaten here, plus been to have a drink on a few occasions. Great service, the food even better (including choice) and all at a reasonable price too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Can’t fault the food or the service today. Great roast had by all. If anything the portion sizes were too big and we hardly touched the side of greens. Would definitely return and hopefully the constantly screaming toddler won’t be there next time which was the only detraction from the meal and next time we’ll specify to sit in the bar area as that seems much quieter

I cannot fault the menu, food, staff or service. Lovely as always. However, having eaten here numerous times when down visiting my mother, I would not choose a Sunday lunch again due to young children being allowed by their parents to run riot and scream, having seated them on a table on their own.

Fantastic evening meal, the food was excellent quality, great value and generously portioned. Staff were attentive but not overly so, they checked on quality and we never had to wait over long before ordering any part of the meal. It never felt like they were hovering but they were clearly aware of all that was happening, such slick operation is tough to achieve but done right, as here, it adds so much to the experience. Generally the atmosphere of the bar/restaurant was cozy and although busy it was not loud, I could happily have stayed for more coffee and relaxed. My only small gripe was the music which was of the generic poppy kind used as background noise in pubs up and down the land. It's a very personal thing and I'm sure there'll be other reviews who enjoyed it but I find bar music to just be bland, slightly intrusive and mostly unnecessary in such a quality establishment. That said, I understand its purpose and this could have been a lot worse, it in no way spoiled the evening. Overall I can't speak highly enough of The Parson.
