I got a reservation for 6:15pm and when I arrived I was told there was no seat so we waited for about 20 mins which is weird because I already have a reservation so I don’t know what element wrong. when I ordered my food they didn’t come until like an hour and a half late, I did get asked by anyone how I was doing or get told that something was wrong in the kitchen or anything and finally when the food arrived at like 7:45 and we finished dinner at like 8:10 and left. Food and everything was good but service needs a little work.

Good location for pre-theater. Popular place. The food was OK.

The food was decent, but the calamari was excessively fried, and the kebabs were undercooked. On the positive side, the garide and spanakopita were delicious!

Really a cool spot, the lamb was delicious, so as the clam dish. Believe it's called Mydia . The octopus civeche was more tomatoes than Octopus, that was pretty disappointing. Great wine selection . Owner was there and was really nice. Our waitress was really nice to and very knowledgeable about the dishes. Will come back again.

What a gem of a family restaurant! My husband and I went here before going to a play at the SF Playhouse. The owner served us at the bar. He was so gracious, friendly and attentive. His family members were equally welcoming and lovely. I consider myself to be a bit of a Greek food snob. My mom was from Greece originally and I travel there often. I am always looking for good Greek food in the States. The Parthenon exceeded my expectations. Every dish was outstanding. It’s rare to find a kebab that is not too dry. The lamb kebab was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The Pastitsio was delicious and fresh. The tzatziki was great and their own house dipping sauce for pita was even better. If you go, best to go on the early side or make a reservation as this place has been discovered and gets packed. We were there when they opened at 5 because of the timing of our play. By a little after 6 they were already busy. We will definitely be returning!

Convenient pretheatre choice with tasty Greek food, reasonable prices, good service and pleasant surroundings. Be sure to reserve; restaurant gets packed on theatre evenings.

Great gem of a restaurant and a new spot to add to my “before the theater “ list. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered the mussels and clams, zucchini cakes, hummus and chicken kabobs. All were delicious, arrived quickly and were pleasantly presented. They have a decent wine list and the lemonade spritzer cocktail was refreshing. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent Greek food. I grew up in Chicago which is well known for its Greek restaurants, and I have travelled to Greece. The Parthenon’s food compares very favorably. Also very friendly and attentive wait staff.

great food and excellent service. Ate vegetarian meals and enjoyed the selection. Could do with a few more vegetarian options. Will be back to sample the non-vegetarian meal options soon.
