A sophisticated restaurant, with a large balcony overlooking the lush green of Brighton Lakes. There is something for everyone at The Pavilion Restaurant.

In the late 1920s, a group of golfers created the North Brighton Golf Club on the opposite side of the Cooks River to Sydney Airport, using a tin shed on the course as a clubhouse and paying two shillings in rent to the landowner for their 18 holes.

The rapid growth of international air transport after WWII meant major runway extensions that eventually forced the Club to find a new home, and in 1950 a new site in Milperra was found, and the New Brighton Golf Club was formed.

In 1979, the Club had part of the course resumed to make way for the building of the M5 Motorway. Construction of four new replacement golf holes commenced in June 1980, with players teeing off from 1982. The necessary redesign of the layout enabled New Brighton to attain Group One status.

I was disappointed because when we arrived, we had a long table outside (as requested) but it was right next to a high table with no room to pull out our chairs and be seated or to move around the table. The chairs were literally next to the higher chairs at the nearby table. I am unsure why this was but it made it awkward to get up to get food and drinks and we felt uncomfortable as we were sitting so close to the other group at their table. (This included the fact that when we arrived their bags were on our table and had to be moved). I was disappointed as we had a family get together that was marred by this. It should be noted that the food and service was good.

Easy to book, lovely venue overlooking a pristine golf course. Had a party of 10 people so a variety of dishes were ordered and not one complaint. Service was excellent.

A lovely lunch. Thank you, Brighton Lakes. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was fresh and was served very fast.

Great food and service. A table on the balcony is ideal to take in the great view over the golf course.

We were made welcome by the manager. Ordering was easy.food was good and good service. Noise from band was reduced due to closed door allowing conversation at dinner. Good experience

Had our Xmas lunch at the golf club, staff were friendly, food was great and really good atmosphere. Would recommend coming to this club.
