   The food was extremely good but our service was not CMR standard. We told the waitress it was someone in our party’s birthday, and she did not even tell her happy birthday. She was quite rushed and seemed like she wanted us to leave quickly.

   We have been eating at Cameron Mitchell restaurants since the mid-1990s and typically are very pleased with the food and service quality. Both locations of The Pearl have been great in the past, but not so this recent visit. My son and I ordered the Great Lakes fish and chips. The fish looked more like fried pork rinds as it was chopped up into small very then strips that were mostly batter. Our server was very preoccupied with another table throughout our meal. By the time I flagged her down to question the odd preparation, my hungry son had eaten half of his meal. She asked if I wanted to replace it with a burger in a manner that suggested I was a nuisance. I did not want to wait for another meal to be prepared and there was not much else on the menu I wanted, but I ended up deciding not to eat a plate of batter. I ordered another meal to-go because the other 4 members of my party were finished eating at that point. The server was not very attentive and was not apologetic and apparently did not care about my son's bad meal. A manager never came to our table. This was not the Cameron Mitchell experience we have loved for several decades. We wasted money on two $32 plates of batter and a mound of French fries (and the beet salad has shrunk quite a lot since pre-pandemic but the price went up). And I ended up finally eating dinner at home at 9:30pm.

   Our server Chelsea was fantastic, attentive but not too much. Peel & eat shrimp was fresh and delicious, the spoonbread was delightful and our entrees were perfection. Great night out!

   Best restaurant we have been to in awhile. We were visiting from out of town and everyone had great things to say about Pearl and they did not disappoint. We would go out of our way to go back again.

    The decor and vibe was beautiful. Food was pretty good. We went for our anniversary, it was a special night for us. We rarely go out to eat, and we were excited for a date night! We didn’t even get to sit at the table for a full hour. Our waitress rushed us through the whole process, she even took my plate without checking if I was finished (I still had half of my sandwich) and boxed it up. Asked us to order dessert before our food was done- and plopped our check on the table with our dessert. The waitress wasn’t a rude person- but just was trying to flip the table and it was very obvious. So all in all, it was a bummer experience and I don’t think I would go back for anything special.
