We had a delightful afternoon tea! The service was impeccable and friendly, the food fresh and really delicious. We shared two different menu selections, so we got to taste everything! My friend's birthday was honoured with a lovely bit of cake, a lighted candle, and a cheery "Happy Birthday!" I was very happy that I chose Pendray Tea House for her special birthday treat. The quiet, calm atmosphere and almost subliminal, classical music were especially appreciated. A perfectly quintessential Victorian experience!

From where I start from? We had the French experience and the warm scones. The scones were to die for. Possibly the best scones I have never had! The quiche was delicious. The all tea experience was fantastic and the service was great. I am looking forward to come back for more tea:-)

A delightful way to spend my Mum’s 80th birthday. Each tea item was delicious with some unique additions to the regular afternoon tea fare. The servers were lovely and the window seat with a view of the harbour was fantastic. We were able to use a voucher from Travelzoo which made it very inexpensive too which was a bonus.

Our favourite place for afternoon tea. Everything is always so fresh and nicely presented, and we really love that they have a fully vegan option. So delicious! Being a heritage building does make sound echo and can be noisy, but nothing can really be done about that, and the ambiance from the old world charm is lovely. Staff are knowledgeable and provide great service. Highly recommend!

High tea is wonderful to experience and I think the Penderay did a nice job for a reasonable price. The tea service was beautiful and the various food and pastries were tasty and well displayed. We enjoyed our time here!

We have had afternoon tea in many places and cities, including London UK, but have to say our experience at the Pendray Hotel and Teahouse was one of the very best. It is family friendly both food and money wise!! We would recommend this experience over and over!!

Birthday and Valentine dinner that was less than impressive. seated at a table that had one person getting bumped by people coming into the room in a room with plenty of open tables. Initially good service however it deteriorated with drinks not delivered, food that was lukewarm that should have been hotter and no tea showing up. Empty food plates were not bused. We left after canceling our tea which had still not arrived. The place wasn't even very busy.
