   I have never been for the Sunday roast lunch before. The food was OK if nothing out of the ordinary for the price, we prefer the weekday lunch menu. The wait staff are always so pleasant and efficient.

   Great food, monkfish ceviche so fresh and tasty. Steaks beautifully cooked as were the melt in the mouth beef cheeks. Chicken wellington a success and all accompanying vegetables fresh and cooked just right. Good choice of wines from usual to more celebratory prices. Great coffee including decaffeinated. Busy and therefore quite noisy for those who can sometimes miss conversations on a Saturday. It’s not worth missing the lovely food which never disappoints so avoid peak hours if a little wait or noise isn’t for you. Good to see same faces waiting who are capable and genuine about wanting to give good service and food.

   Service was great so was the food. I would certainly recommend it. The fixed price menu is certainly value for money. The reason I gave 4 stars for the food was the lack of vegetarian options. There were 6 main courses but only 1 vegetarian. More people are eating vegetarian food and that should warrant more than 1 choice.

   Such a lovely evening. Great attention to detail in every aspect. Stunning presentation of food. Friendly and professional service. Having been to the restaurant when it was the terrace and loved it, we were apprehensive. Absolutely no need. It felt like a completely different place and was such a great experience. Thank you Meal for 6 with drinks on a Thursday evening came to approx £50 per head. Great value for money. X

   Nice food but the meal was not as nice as the first time I visited and had the same food. The black beans were hard and not cooked thoroughly. The steak was slightly over. They added a surcharge which I think is a bit cheeky when the food itself is quite expensive.

   Best restaurant in the area. Great food, especially starters and mains. Small but good wine list. Excellent cocktails. Staff are delightful.

   I wasn’t aware of the portion sizes - you’ll need to top up with side dishes - one roast potato,stuffing ball, 5 tiny carrots, two chicken thighs? Half a parsnip and a tablespoon of mash and cabbage do not maketh a Sunday lunch - most of which was hidden by the yorkie but still left hungry even with a pudding! Extra veg doesn’t cost the earth - unfortunately not good value for money.

    The Sunday lunch was fabulous. Everything was perfect and the cauliflower cheese was amazing!! Such a fabulous little restaurant with very friendly and accommodating staff. Ralph was so helpful & friendly. We will definitely be going back.
