The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

Great service and the food was excellent ... our server provided extremely interesting history of the Pirates' House and explained the various selections on the menu and was quick to answer any questions our party had. The food came quickly, the presentation was inviting and the taste of everything was wonderful. We recommend bringing your family and friends ... to enjoy a great casual dining experience at a very reasonable cost.

Great meal and service and Michael was an attentive and friendly waiter. Solid dinner and large bar choices. The room we dined in just needed more light. It was hard to read the menu!

Great food, great service, great ambiance, and then a tour of the place by a pirate! What more could you ask? Fun and fascinating history to be had there!

I wanted to love this place, but it is truly tacky and offers mediocre food. The building is cool and has historical significance, however I would only go there with children who get to wear a paper pirate hat and a pirate visits you at the table. I regretted my decision as soon as the food arrived and did not eat my sandwich after taking one bite.

Very interesting atmosphere - some staff dressed as pirates and will take you on a tour. Buffet was hot and tasty - definitely try the fried chicken!

Honestly I expected a tourist trap and iffy food. Well… The restaurant is themed but it’s no trap! The atmosphere was pirate fun and the food was delicious. We enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed for dessert (something we rarely do). The evening ended with a private pirate tour and a trip to the gift shop. The was the second best meal we had on our trip.

Food was great and as ordered. My wife is very picky, and they handled it with no problem. We did the tour after dinner, little cheesy but fun. This is a tourist trap, but in a fun and great way. Will go again when in Savannah. I would learn the history behind the location prior to going, it makes the experience better.
