Set in the picturesque village of West Hanney,This beautiful thatched pub offers great british pub classics, and small plates, with a vibrant pub atmosphere. This community owned business has new tenants who have been lucky to win a fair few awards in their time.
The Plough is the ultimate country pub and offers an incredible atmosphere and dining experience. Housed in a stunningly thatched public house, customers can choose to eat in the beautiful eatery, in the cosy bar by the fire or in the beautiful sun trapped garden.
With a passion for supporting farmers, the kitchen sources food from the very best local farms, knowing where each item comes from, from farm to plate. Owain even uses the produce from his family farm in Wales! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - Luke is particularly passionate about his small plates menu, ensuring that th plough is something for everyone.

    The food is always fresh and delicious. We are Christmas Eve as a family and we were served with smoked and friendliness. It was fabulous in every way. Thank you x

    The food and the service was excellent, couldn't fault it. However, when I booked I was told the marquee was heated, however there was a howling gale blowing through the sides. We had a disabled person in the party and it really didn't help her condition. If we hadn't travelled 2 hours to meet our family I would have gone elsewhere, but we stayed and tried our best to keep her comfortable. I would have given 5 stars otherwise, and being told it's not their fault about the weather really is a poor response and a little ignorant. Perhaps it would have been advisable to warn us in advance, I could have made alternative arrangements, but it was too late.

    We had a lovely, LOVELY meal. It never disappoints this pub. Landlord is fab, food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun and chilled. Will definitely keep coming back!

    What a lovely, cosy venue for a meet up with a friend. Food was great, most places offer very limited gluten free options but pretty much everyting was on offer GF. 🤩 Staff were all excellent, really friendly and attentive. Will definitely return, thank you!

    Sunday lunch was very good , rustic I’d say but very tender thick cut beef, my criticism would be potatoes piled inside the yorkshires, and all the veg on top of delicious cauliflower cheese, busy pub so that indicates the quality .
