The Plough Shiplake, pub & dining room that prides itself on offering a delicious, seasonal menu with an excellent drinks selection. The Plough makes you feel special, and at home, all at the same time.

The menu itself is the perfect combination of reinvented pub favourites, with interesting and culinarily creative signature dishes. As well as having a reputation for the best cocktails in Oxfordshire.

The building has been lovely restored; creating a homely, yet modern atmosphere, where it's easy to get lost in conversation for hours. Every table has been given an unique touch and the open fire creates warmth, in both meanings of the word.

We went for a meal for my husbands birthday. The food was delicious. Everything was full of flavour and presented beautifully. The restaurant was very cosy and the staff friendly:

This place is just gorgeous- if you want fabulous simple food cooked superbly, served by charming staff, in a wonderful cosy atmosphere - with the option of some devilish cocktails conjured up by the magical Fernando - this is where you need to go!

The venue is relatively small but well set out and decorated. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The menu choice is limited but balanced with a reasonable selection of dishes. The wine list was again small and relatively pricey.

The set menu offer was excellent. The delicately battered haddock was delicious alongside the jumbo chips, minted pea mash and home made tartare sauce. A fine example of one of England's national dishes. Great service too

A truly great and relaxed dining experience would highly recommend, this was our third visit.

Excellent overall experience. Booking.... Easy to book via 'OpenTable'. Service.... Great, attentive, friendly, welcoming courteous staff. Our Food and drinks was order taken promptly, and presented beautifully. Service overall from all staff was first class. The Food... Our Sunday Roasts (we had Porchetta and Beef Sirloin) were superb! Lovely Salmon Cigar starter and Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert....all washed down with a lovely Malbec. Summary..... Very good first impression of the 'new' Plough ! I know it's been open a couple of years, but it was our first visit to the new layout and they have really done a fantastic job of the restoration and upgrade. Plenty of Car park spaces, we really couldn't fault anything! Such a pleasant change and we will return.

Would definitely return! The food was AMAZING especially the glazed pig cheeks and oxtail pudding. Cannot recommend highly enough
