Welcome to Maitland’s Premier Craft Beer, Whiskey and Cocktail Bar.

Ranked in the top 15 of Regional Craft Beer venues in 2016, we pride ourselves in
serving 10 rotating taps and a wide variety of bottled craft beer along with an
everchanging selection of whiskey and cocktails to suit every taste!

Our chef creates good, hearty dishes ranging from your pub favourite schnitty and
chips to our wide range of gourmet burgers.

We are an all ages pub so bring your family down for your next event in our
Restaurant, Whiskey Room, Beer Garden or Full Venue to celebrate and enjoy the
fun and relaxed atmosphere we have to offer!

    Didn’t even j it if this place but food was amazing and the gluten free option’s excellent not just an option but part of the menu . My daughter hadn’t had a pub snitty for 8 years just loved it. Food excellent. We did book online but they didn’t seem to have the booking so lucky we were early and there was room. Will be back and have told others how good it was.

    Good food and generous portions and reasonably priced. Staff are lovely and so helpful. We were there very early so it was a bit quiet but imagine the atmosphere would be great later on especially when there is music. Thank you very much

    First time at the Pourhouse and will be back. Beautiful old pub, service was great and staff very friendly. The meals were very good, especially the share plates. The live music created a great atmosphere. Extensive drinks list for any taste. Definitely recommend popping in for dinner and or drinks.

    Very poor standard place. Best to avoid. Had been here during the lock down and found it too be an Amazing place, it seems to have changed hands and is not what is once was. Drinks were very watered down and the food was of sub par standard.

    Medium Rump Steak was well done and tough as old boots, the Thai Chicken salad was good especially having the sauce on the side to add yourself. Having said that probably won't be back again.

    Decided to give this a go now that Pauline is no longer involved. Very quick early dinner before sport. Kiddo had the pork dumplings on the tapas menu for her meal & I had a schnitzel. The pork dumplings were excellent but the aioli dipping sauce was a strange choice. They would have paired much better with a nice Asian fusion style sauce with the sweet, sour, salty, spicy profile we all know & love. The dumplings was paired nicely with an indelicate sprite, served expertly over ice by the friendly bar staff. The schnitzel was a very generous size & the batter was delicious but I wish I had asked for gravy on the sauce because it was a very rich, dark gravy that would be amazing on a roast beef but it just overshadowed the chicken. The side salad was a bit odd. The dressing was sweet & the grated cheese on top was unnecessary & took away from the overall experience. My Pinot Gris was delicious. Music was a selection of depressing country ballads that made me want to book a wellness check for whomever put the playlist together. R U OK? Overall, a nice pub meal in a nice pub served by nice staff.

    Firstly we booked for the bistro with 3 kids and we were seated in the main bar. We were the second group to order but waited for about 1hr and 45 minutes and were delivered a bread. Others who ordered after us were finished their meals before we got ours. The kids were starving and it doesn’t take long to cook nuggets and chips. This is not the first time we have been to the Pourhouse and we were disappointed with the pricing of the meals, the quality of the meals, the service particularly with the children and the atmosphere was pretty dull to be honest. Not overly keen to go back now, compared to previous visits.
