Well prepared food, friendly and competent staff who were attentive without being invasive. The food was very well cooked and presented. On the expensive side but still worth it for a top quality meal. I also liked the table space as much better arranged than many restaurants where tables are so close together. They also put a candle in my friends desert to mark her birthday. Overall very happy with my visit.

As we were visiting early on a Monday evening, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but we felt comfortable with a warm welcome. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be returning.

The Print House was quite quiet at the time we visited. ( A Thursday lunchtime.) However we were warmly welcomed by the waitress and seated within view of the cheery log burning fire. The menu offered a good choice of dishes : something to please everyone. The food was well presented and delicious. The drinks menu was also extensive and our waitress offered helpful suggestions. The Print House has a warm friendly atmosphere, even when it is not very busy. I would recommend it.

Very average, trying to be something that it’s not? Stuck between two stools, is it a ‘Gastro Pub’ or is it ‘Fine Dinning’? Unfortunately it’s neither. Really disappointing, we ordered our starter and it literally arrived within a minute? The whipped butter had never seen a whisk in its life, the Venison Ragout is no different then you would knock up in a slow cooker, the mash, stiff and tasteless, what a let down. When you see the chef leaving the restaurant at 8.20pm on a Friday evening, with his apron and trousers under his arm, you know you have picked the wrong place! With a big tie-in with Chapel Down, it’s all about the rooms and a lovely stay. If you are local, forget it, go for for a curry opposite.

We had a lovely lunch this Saturday. Shame more people aren't using it as they are definitely missing out on a gem of a place. We will be back again. Hugs to Hettie
