The Quarry Restaurant and Lounge is a centuries old building cloaked in history, culture and an authentic sense of region, staying true to cooking with fresh, local ingredients. It was built with the strength and ingenuity of miners, who knew, first-hand, the value of hard-work, dreaming and making things come to fruition. At the Quarry, you can enjoy small plates like the native lobster sliders, hasselback potato dip or Cape Cod mussels with chorizo. These are seriously small servings, but nothing in the flavor is anything but robust. 4 of us went to the Quarry for Sunday brunch. I had never been to this restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated on the inside. It was a perfect day otherwise so we ate outside. It was like dining in a flower garden, just spectacular! In walking through the restaurant to the outside patio, I noticed the The ambiance, food, and service was outstanding. It was the best experience I've had for a long time. I can't wait to go back.

First time at The Quarry and we were very please. The restaurant is beautiful. The service was perfect (ask for Ryan!) and the food was fantastic. We started with the figs, which were amazing. The risotto was perfect (and I am a risotto snob) as were the scallops. We will be back often.

All of the south shore knows of the shipyard and hingham square restaurants, and justifiably so. But we are so glad we visited the Quarry Restaurant in south Hingham or the first time in a long while to see how it was faring under the newish ownership. Starting with the cordial greeting at the dining room entrance, the evening was a great success for our group of six on a recent Saturday night. The menu has a wide variety of offerings and all of us were quite satisfied. The Osso Buco and the whole grilled snapper were particularly delicious. Our server was very well informed about the choices, how they are prepared and ingredients used. And he made sure we were aware that portions can be ordered in varying sizes. He was informative without being intrusive. The restaurant was full that night but not overly noisy. We will certainly return soon.

Server was very nice and knowledgeable, but spent a little bit to much time talking to everyone and this slowed down the service

Great atmosphere, very impressive cocktail list. Food was great; the apple cider donut sundae is a must! Will definitely be back!

We visited the Quarry quite early on a Saturday evening. We spent a few minutes in the bar just catching up with friends, then was summoned by the hostess to sit at our table. Our waitress was initially very prompt, informative and friendly. As we ordered our first course we were encouraged to pick our entree as well. We were hopeful that our courses would follow with an appropriate buffer. Our salads came, we had to ask for bread and a few minutes later before we were all finished, our entrees arrived. Now this is one thing that really is disappointing, whether it be the wait staff's fault or not, it throws an enjoyable meal off. After we asked "how does this happen?" our waitress apologized and said she would send the meals back and everything would be "re-fired". Needless to say when our meals arrived that were bearly warm. My hope is that we weren't being rushed out. The entrees were delishous, but clearly not at their prime. We will be returning at some point, but will make sure we ordered our courses at separate intervals.

The Quarry Restaurant is a true gastronomic delight. Service was excellent during our recent visit. The interior and exterior of the building is both unique and beautiful. There is a extensive wine list or if you prefer a very interesting selection of craft beers and cocktails. We could not have been any happier with our overall experience. We will definitely be back.

We went to the Quarry for the second time per request of the "birthday girl'" The first time we did not enjoy the experience because we felt like the service was moderate at best and the food was overpriced. Unfortunately this time the service was poor - the waiter was rude and when dinner had still not arrived after an hour and a half we asked for the manager. The food magically appeared as the manager approached the table. The manager was as rude if not more obnoxious than the waiter. He did not care to hear that we waited for the drink order - had to ask for bread - was scolded by the waiter for the way "excuse me" was said to him and had to ask for salt and pepper on the table. Under previous management, this restaurant was reliable and enjoyable. Not the case anymore - just don't go!

Had a wonderful meal with great service for a family celebration. The sausage appetizer was wonderful and all of our meals were well cooked and prepared. our server was helpful with choices in dishes and wine. look forward to returning again. the deck is lovely.
