Le nouveau venu sur la scène culinaire de Sag Harbor se trouve à l’hôtel-restaurant Baron’s Cove qui a été entièrement rénové et récemment réouvert. Ouvert pour le déjeuner, le dîner et le souper, ce restaurant classique américain propose des plats frais et locaux par Matty Boudreau, l'un des chefs les plus acclamés d’Hampton. Choisissez parmi le surf & turf, les hamburgers savamment grillés, le succulent poisson, les rouleaux de homard au beurre et une sélection de plats saisonniers. Admirez les légendaires couchers de soleil sur Sag Harbor Cove depuis le deuxième étage du restaurant. Pour vos évènements privés il vous est possible de réserver The Map Room.

The restaurant was very nice, but they didn’t quite have their act together. Brought out one out of two appetizers. After a long wait reminded them of the other appetizer. They brought me a spoon but no appetizer. Two employees came over to apologize and they did comp us drinks. Finally, I said forget the appetizer because I’m sure my meal will be coming now, and they brought the appetizer, which really was not worth the wait. My filet mignon, which I ordered, medium rare came out on the well side. My wife had the rigatoni which she said she would order again. The waitstaff was very friendly and overall I would give the place another try honestly.

We have been coming to Baron’s NYE for 5 years now. Service and food have been declining, and they are now charging the whole meal + >20% gratuity in advance, which seems inappropriate particularly when service is certainly not up to speed. Waitress also charged us for the wrong bottle of wine which was more expensive, did not follow up on ingredient inquiries as requested. Not likely to return for dinner next year unfortunately

Loved the bar fireplace live music vibe. Went upstairs for dinner. Great food and service could have dimmed the lights a bit as it was very bright but all in all it was great. Went back to the bar for a final final espresso martini and it was great

Very nice stay at Barons Cove. The Christmas dinner was good but excellent. The desserts were excellent. The foggy pudding with espresso gelato was worth waiting fir it to end the experience on a high nite. We didn’t except exceptional since it’s Christmas Day but it was good. Service was very slow however the staff were delightful and attentive when they came to the table. Thank you for making our Christmas special for a couple who had no plans or family to visit for the holiday

Excellent food for Dinner. Restaurant had a cozy cabin feel with a fireplace. Bar downstairs is super relaxing. Staff was incredible. Highly recommend.

I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you are staying at Baron's Cove! Chrustmas is the perfect time to go. Fireplace is lit and lights are up. Service was excellent, food was excellent and the ambience was excellent. Very warm and inviting. If I had to say anything negative, it would be their choice in music. They should have played holiday music or something a bit softer. It didn't match the atmosphere.

Everything was fine. We were seated on an enclosed patio area with heaters but it was still a bit chilly. Service was polite and friendly but staffing was somewhat limited with basically one waiter handling many tables. He did very well under the circumstances. The food was good but not special. It was a prix fix dinner and the value was ok but the wine list lacked reasonably priced bottles.

Summary: One of the best restaurants in Sag Harbor, great view from the upper floor (especially before nightfall), a welcoming ambiance, and prompt service. The food aspires to Top Chef status, but when we were there on Thanksgiving Day, 2024, it didn't quite make that cut. The two starter courses (I had soup and a generous portion of crabmeat) and desserts were fantastic, but my main course choice of traditional turkey seemed to be a pileup of dark meat left over from other customers' preference for white meat. But we had a good time, and the customers were a pleasant mix of families and friends. Since it is part of a hotel, the restaurant was open on Thanksgiving when many restaurants were closed, and we were grateful to get a reservation anywhere close to the day. The price was fair given the day. On Open Table, I don't remember any warning that there would be a $99 prix fixe per person for a four-course meal, plus tax and the required 21% tip (plus a suggested option to add more). This could add up to a surprise for a family. The restaurant website in one place says there is a $50 per person cancellation fee. and in another, it says $100 per person. But these are minor quibbles. I recommend this place.
