Enjoyed another great night out in the Fitz. Drinks and music in the Bar followed by an excellent Christmas menu in Restaurant. ( Spent another Saturday night in the Fitz after being there last Sat 7th). Once again it was a really lovely night out from the bar to the restaurant. Brian was so helpful and was able to get us a table in restaurant as we had not pre booked. All staff were on point and working so hard over this really busy season. Thank you again to Brian for being so helpful and accommodating as usual. He’s an absolute gem and an asset to the business.

Excellent food, attentive staff and a fantastic experience from booking the table right through to the end of the meal. This was a company Christmas lunch and I booked it because we were there last year and everyone commented that it was THE best Christmas dinner they had experienced on a work do. The Turkey main course is fantastic and this year every single person ordered it. Please don't change as we will be booking again for next year! Special thanks to Megan Best for all her help with the booking.

An excellent 3 course festive lunch. Service and standard of food was very good. If you don't want 3 courses you can ask for a different menu.

My wife had the Sea Bass which was the best she has had since first experiencing the fish in Rome many years ago. The skin was crisp so she was able to eat it all. I had the Fish of the Day which was a delicious piece of soft flaky cod expertly cooked and nicely presented. We finished by sharing a cheeseboard which had frozen grapes, very nice. My wife had an Irish coffee but it was more like a Latte with whisky added as it was cloudy. Still it tasted okay. We picked a £38 bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to drink with the meal. It was more than we normally spend on Restaurant wine but it did not disappoint. Service was friendly and efficient.

Lovely setting and service. Quite good value too only let down food wise by the steak. Three of us had the steak cooked differently, and all were cooked as requested but all were lacking in flavour. Really disappointed. The forth member of the party had the bacon chop which was way better. Service was as good apart from an issue with allergies - emailed them to advise strawberry allergy and they acknowledged this when taking our orders on the night. We were asked to fill in an allergy card at the table which we thought was an excellent idea…..bizarrely they then served a dessert with strawberries on top?

Main courses were poor, Fitzpie dried up beef covered in pastry. Hake was a flat end of hake left under the lights and was dry and tasteless. I have eaten here before and food was excellent, so maybe just an off night in the kitchen . Service was good.
