Brought to you by Chris & Michele Redding, the owners of Cuckoo's Chicken House & Waterin' Hole and The Animas City Theatre, The Roost opened June 12, 2018, offering affordable, casual dining in a fun, downtown location. Our seasonal menu offers a wide variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, prepared by Chef Dave Cuntz, Colorado Restaurant Association's Chef of the Year 2021. Pair your meal with a glass of wine, craft beer or signature cocktail. Finish your meal with one of Nana Pat's Cookie Dough Brownies ala mode you'll be glad you saved room for dessert! Located in Downtown Durango, 1/2 a block for the historic Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge railroad. A great place to dine after your train ride.

    We love eating at The Roost! Their prime rib is always so good. Plus you can get Cockoos wings from downstairs. It’s a win win!

    Our fav restaurant in Durango by far. We try to visit at least 3 times in 12 days! We "discovered" it last Dec. and also visited 3 times! Zeke makes it special from beginning to end.

    The hostess gave us a warm welcome and Zeke was the BEST waiter. He was efficient, congenial, and knowledgeable. Strived to make our experience a great one. He's one of a kind and beloved by all that were lucky enough to have him be their waiter!

    Took my girlfriend here for dinner, made the mistake of eating at ska earlier in the day though. The food was so good, I had the pork chop, and fought my hardest to finish it but was defeated in the end. Prime Rib was spot on, along with the cocktails throughout the night. Cute and quiet little place, service was super friendly. Will come back again.

    This is our go-to restaurant. The food is always excellent, the waitstaff professional and congenial, the ambience comfortable. We really like this place!

    Arrived about 15 minutes early (have to drive close to an hour to get there and parking always a challenge). Streets very busy as was the hostess desk. Noel night in Durango so happy we had reservations!! Seated just before our 6:00 reservation, given menus and water by hostess. Staff extremely busy and yet with helping each other (including the bartender who delivered some drinks) service was good. Dinner was again delicious. I stuck with the vegetable Wellington and my husband had prime rib. Had the dessert special after seeing the gorgeous presentation at a nearby table. Dense vanilla cake topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce and a side shot of homemade egg nog. Decadent and delicious. This has already become a favorite place.
