Although living in the area for some time and always meaning to try for a meal and glad that we eventually did for four of us as a birthday celebration. Firstly, the online booking process worked very smoothly with a confirmation email for confidence. Warm welcome and a warm comfortable environment with log fire which was appreciated on a cold winter's day. Large spacious eating area around a well stocked bar. We went on a Sunday when they have a Sunday menu which includes a roast dinner which we all chose including one vegetarian roast option. The food was well cooked and particularly well presented with seasonal vegetables. The service was very friendly and attentive and we will certainly return.

Had the Sunday roast, it was probably the best roast we’ve ever had. There was so much of it and it was all cooked beautifully. Service was excellent too. If you’ve got a big appetite you’re on a winner. Would highly recommend. Thank you Sawmills, happy people, we will be back 😃.

Top food plenty to eat reasonable prices Only small issue is that the server was very keen to get our plates we felt a bit rushed. But overall a great meal and a lovely place. I would happily return.

Booked for midday lunch , staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was a cold day but inside it was lovely and warm with a log fire. Food was great, would definitely recommend.

Fabulous Sunday roast! Great value and so much yummy food. I had the mushroom & spinach pie roast it was delicious! Lovely friendly staff and a gorgeous log burner for a fab autumn roast!

Recommend booking. Welcoming, dog friendly restaurant. Orders were taken quickly and food arrived just as quick. The meals we had were well priced for the portion sizes and area we were in. We had chicken burgers, steak and black pudding pie and the crab sandwich on white bread. All were well presented and cooked perfectly.

First time we booked while on holiday, food was absolutely fantastic. Shame we were sat near the front door, was distracting, especially so close to the check in desk.
