   Valentines dinner fixed price entrées all looked delicious. Unfortunately the scallops were overpowered by the seasoning they used. But the prime rib was excellent along with the other courses.

   My wife ordered the Salmon which is a favorite with her but last night it was just to spicy. The restaurant did compensate us partially which i really appreciated. Daniel was the server and he was great and likely facilitated the partial credit. Sawyers remains a favorite.

   We’ve eaten at The Sawyer many times and I’ve always enjoyed their pizzas, but this time was a disappointment as the crust had no char and was soggy. The ramen and the hummus plate were both good, as weee the shishito peppers. It’s nice to be able to choose whether to sit in the quieter part of the restaurant or the livelier bar area.

   It was an okay dining experience last night. We typically love our evenings at the sawyer, but our server last night was a little spacey and honestly non-attentive… we are not used to experiencing this at the Sawyer.

   Food was very good. Our party of 7 enjoyed their meals. The special fish entrees were delicious. Don't be in a hurry because it took a while to receive our entrees.

   Cora was perfectly attentive. I especially value when servers don’t just bust in while we are talking but also walk by and can tune into what we need, when we need it. Teresa the bartender was engaging, offered a creative twist on our beverage we didn’t end up preferring, and she handled it perfectly. The food was exceptional. Love the new menu. The food was not only DELICIOUS, it was also presented beautifully which also added an extra touch of class. Love the Sawyer and will keep coming back.

    The food and atmosphere is very good. We have dined here many times. Last Sunday evening we had a young waitress who grew up in Truckee. She gave wonderful service and was an absolute delight to talk with. This is a great restaurant!
