   The Shady Lady was closed down. They took our reservation on Open Table and did not contact us in any way to let us know they would no longer be open. Very upsetting.

   GROSSLY OVERPRICED. Hate to give a bad review but the place is loud, cramped, the food is okay...but not for the prices they are charging. $25 for eggs Benedict, regular run of the mill, Benedict, $26 for a burger and another $4 for fries. The food comes out at room temp and brunch for 4 was over $150. Oh yeah, we got free coffee.

   They took a very long time to send us a waiter . Other than that , the food was good . It’s very loud but it didn’t bother me ( just an fyi ).

   I have a love hate relationship with this restaurant. The food is AMAZING. Everything we’ve had here is delicious. However, management of the restaurant is so incredibly poor that we rarely go. We went for the first time 2 years ago and shortly after wanted to take a friend to try their food that we enjoyed so much. Unfortunately their hours on their website are never updated and we went on a Sunday night only to be told they no longer serve dinner on Sundays. We came back on Friday Dec 27th with a dinner reservation (just to make sure that they were actually going to be open). The waiter takes our order and two members of our party of 3 are told their items are not available because they no longer serve gnocchi and haven’t updated their menus. No mention of this when our menus are handed to us. No simple updates to the menu (marker, tape). Mind you, the section of the menu is literally called “Pasta and Gnocchi” so kind of weird that you’re not offering half of that section and don’t make any update to your menu. Despite how delicious their food is we’re unlikely to return again to avoid another mishap. Perhaps if management can get it together and update their hours and menus in a timely manner we might return but we won’t go out of our way to come here anymore.

   My experience at Shady Lady was a mixed bag. On one hand, the food quality was definitely a highlight, especially the onion rings, which were probably the best thing we ordered all night. The flavors were well-balanced, and it was clear the kitchen takes pride in what they’re putting on the plate. However, the service was another story. It took almost two hours for us to get our food, which made the entire experience frustrating. We were on the brink of leaving multiple times because it simply took too long to see any dishes come out. Although the restaurant wasn’t overwhelmingly busy, the wait seemed excessive, and the staff didn’t do much to reassure us or offer updates on our order. If you have a lot of patience and aren’t in a hurry, you may find the quality of the food worth the wait. But for those looking for a more efficient dining experience, Shady Lady may not be the best choice.
