   We booked a table for afternoon tea. The site gave me the option to do this. When we arrived,there was a table reserved for us,but were then told that they don’t do afternoon tea. The two ladies that worked there were as confused as us,but they were very helpful and apologetic. We drove an hour and a half to get there,so annoyed.

   We stopped in fur a brew mid afternoon and a client near us was nibbling on a plate of meats & cheeses which looked delicious. We then popped back at 9pm for cocktails & Hamish created our favourite French Martinis & Pip was an amazing hostess. The ambience on Friday 28/2/25 was just perfect with background music blending with conversations. A little gem of an establishment…and opposite our hotel too…win win!

   Very polite and helpful staff, food was lovely when it arrived and venue is great. Having asked for bucks fizz, after a few minutes we were told there’s no orange juice. Then after ordering food, about 5 minutes later we were told there would be a 10 minute delay as pre-prepared poached eggs had run out!! How odd that a venue serving primarily brunch had to tell us that. So all in all there was quite a delay. Furthermore, a lady arrived and sat on an adjacent table to us and then proceeded to have a discussion very loudly via her laptop for approx 40 minutes. She was completely oblivious to how she was spoiling the ambience until when a large group of diners arrived, they were clearly disturbing her, so she moved after asking if the person on the other end of the call could still hear her. Disappointing that staff allowed her to conduct her meeting

   We were running late for our booked table (cancelled train!) but when I phoned to tell them this the manager(s) were understanding and helpful and accommodating. Made the visit very worthwhile.

   Such a great place. Fabulous coffee and cocktails. Cosy and a great vibe with lovely staff. Fantastic evening for drinks before dinner.

   Great place with quirky vibe in Windsor. Quite small inside and the stairs to the toilet are quite tiny and steep. We enjoyed our drink and snack. Dogs are welcome.

   Lovely venue, quite an experience. Shared a cheese platter & a cold meats platter between us which came with bread & pickles & very much enjoyed it.

   Fabulous home-made cocktails, great sharing platters, lovely setting and perfect service. Couldn’t fault it; a big favourite in town. I would highly recommend the Shambles in Windsor!
