The Shell is definitely an Upper West Side find. The minute you walk in the door you feel very welcomed. The entire staff is very friendly but not overbearing. The service is terrific. The food is quite good and reasonably priced (some might think a little overpriced) - good value. It's a keeper and we'll make it a regular so we can try out the whole menu.

Jose is phenomal and a very nice person. Restaurant was A+. Would definitely recommend and come back.

I can’t believe I’ve never been here. It was excellent. Great vibe, friendly service and fabulously fresh seafood. Everything we ate was delicious from the mussles to the oysters to the shrimp cocktail and then entrées of Branzino, lobster ravioli and salmon. Everything was perfectly prepared and very nicely seasoned. Service was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

We were so pleasantly surprised! We had been told by a friend that “it is nice” so our expectations were quite modest. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was certainly not the greatest but considering the packed tables it was very pleasant and fairly timely. We will definitely return again- probably trying a lunchtime date.
