What was once a rowdy sailor’s drinking den has been transformed into a civilised gastro pub complete with a separate and impressive function and convention facility that can cater for up to 200 guests. This iconic South Bank hotel was constructed in 1864 and has developed a reputation as a lamb lover’s paradise. Our classic pub style menu boasts mouth watering dishes for all dining tastes. With three distinct dining areas plus function rooms, The Ship Inn is the perfect location for casual dining, lazy alfresco lunches, functions and events. We don’t have poker machines, we don’t have TV’s and we don’t have TAB. We are a true gastro pub with a traditional atmosphere in a prime South Bank location. Had a great Sunday afternoon lunch with my friends at the Ship Inn today. I booked for 10 people but unexpectedly 14 showed up and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and accomodating. The food was great too so we will be back again soon!

I had never had Beef Wellington before but theirs was one of the saddest experiences of my life. Very dry, no flavor, and fell right out of the puff pastry.
