The Ship Inn is located in the village of Wylam which is close to Hadrian's Wall and George Stephenson's cottage. We are situated 8 miles from the centre Newcastle Upon Tyne and 5 miles from the Metro Centre which is one of Europe's biggest shopping centres.

Newcastle Airport is 15 miles drive and Close House golf course is close by. The Ship Inn is in a great location for exploring Northumberland's National park with its many walks and rivers. Wylam railway station is 5 minute's walk away.

Best roast we have had in a long time actual home made roasties not the pre made ones most places serve nowadays tasted amazing and the beef just melted in the mouth everything from start to finish was perfect.The staff are so pleasent and friendly the service was great we will most definitely be back very soon.

Pre Christmas meal with friends. Food lovely. Staff friendly. Quite quiet for the weekend before Christmas.

Had a beautiful meal and the staff were friendly. We really appreciate how well they cater for dietary requirements, which is why we will keep going back.

Lovely meal great value for money I had the shepherds pie and the veg were lovely with it ! They were accommodating for my mother and staff were very friendly!
